Cool

That album sounds like something he slapped together in 5 minutes. All the tunes are simple, cheesy and use the exact same synth presets.

About system f - together... I think Spaceman saves that CD. Together is not half bad, especially when you see it played in a Japanese club.

Ferry's exact quote about it to me after one of the dual play tourdates:
"I know alot of people think it is cheesy, but that is the japanese sound they want"

Ferry's obsession with Japan:
You would know if you have been to japan, it is wonderful. Kinda hard to explain, but you are literally listening to some form of dance music (trance, eurobeat, hard house) every second you are in a big city. Hard House is actually bigger than trance there, but the Avex marketing juggernaut is unstoppable. One of the funniest things I have ever seen was Ferry talking to my Japanese girlfriend (who was in Japan at the time) on my cell phone, and the first words out of his mouth [as a joke] were the japanese equivalent of "wanna fuck?" Her freaking out on the phone afterwards made it all the funnier. "What?!? Ferry can speak some Japanese!??! COOL!!!!!!!?!?!?!? Id have sex with him!" That is the best metaphor for trance in Japan. Play to the "Japanese sound" and just get huge.

Ferry's wife:
She may be Japanese, I am not sure... However, I have NEVER met a girl named Lia who is Japanese. Especially considering the difficulty most japanese would have with that name (it would come out more like ria) Im gonna go with she is Fillipino. She is really really nice, and not just for looks.

my friend in Japan is named Lia, she's full Japanese decent... however, she also has dual citizenship with the US and Japan... you guys ever try guessing that she may be American, or Hawaiian, and of Japanese decent?

Heh, I'm afraid I too share the same Japanese obsession with Ferry - the whole ideal and culture is amazing, I will be seriously considering about living there after I go there for a holiday @ the end of the year.

About the album - like majority of people here, the album kinda sucked with the exception of a few tracks, sounded very rushed imo. But it is true about the "Japanese Sound". They see it as "pop-trance" you may say [not this "OMG so much emotional depth and feelings and goosebumps" that we TA's see] and they love that kinda stuff. Heck, one of the amazing things of Japan is how they blend everything into their own unique flavor of pop-culture.

And as for Ferry's wife... the one in the Exhale clip looks totally different to the digital photo??? Both are very tasty though I prefer the cuter one in the Exhale clip!

And Ferry speaking Japanese is way too awesome!

ya ferry's wife is filipino.. my cousin talks to her when she comes to the philippines with Ferry.

Ferry just likes asian people thats all heheheh.. nothing bad about that.

And if you can tell the difference from a filipino and japanese is that flips have bigger noses :P like me ahahah..

then again I get mistaken for all the other asian ethnicity and not as a flip.. mostly korean or japanese or vietnamese lol

But for my computer, I can put in an Avex CCCD and i can rip into mp3s without any problems or hindrances using Musicmatch Jukebox. I dont know if it is MMJB that can override the CCCD technology, or Avex fucked up the CCCD technology
