the UAD-1 is really good I think....the guy who wrote the review of it and didnt like it....he compared it too the hardware versions...

And he says you should go for the Waves plugins....then he really is missing out on the POINT....cause you do not get a CPU loaded card with the waves fx....

And did he compare the waves fx to his hardware mackie fx?

the UAD-1 rocks...though, you might need 2 cards....1 card is not enough!

Could also check out the TC-Powercore!

Cheers

Dreas

hey Dreas, first let me congradulate you on Havannah. Nice Track. Little different from morning snow/sonic rush but very sweet. That review was horrible I have only heard good things about the uad-1. It limited in the amount of plugins u can use which is the only complaint. A few pultecs and 1176ln's and the card is on overload, but there are ways around it like bouncing tracks. yeah the powercore is great, i plan on getting both

That seems like plenty to me. All I want mainly is the 1176 and Pultec.

I have just ordered the UAD-1 as I have heard quite a few good reviews on them (more good than bad). I have also ordered the Cambridge EQ. And two quality trance producers use them...mmmmmmm...can't be bad.

If it's that good I may stick another in there (plus a Virus TI)
