Define 'seculars'. Back up that claim. I'd personally be shocked if most of the people hyping the Y2K bug weren't religious in some way or form. FYI, at least the Y2K thing was at least marginally believable, and some systems did go down, although evidently it was a load of crap.

Err, no. I deny the existence of god because there is no evidence that one exists. How on earth do you know what every single non-religious person is like. What do you base your claim that we would 'reveal how bad we really are' on?
Nice sermon, it's such a shame that it's utterly meaningless. I'm perfectly happy to be told that I'm wrong, but only when the other person has the evidence on their side. Since you do not (If you do, feel free to present it), your sermons have no effect on me whatsoever. It is you who refuses to see the light. Making a load of unsupported assertions doesn't give you the moral high ground.

And how do atheists/agnostics/humanists etc. avoid the subject altogether? In general, they are far more educated on the topic, because they have examined it and decided that the evidence was found wanting. Why acknowledge him indeed? Since I have no evidence to support the validity of the claims of any of thee major mono (and poly) theistic religions, why believe? Show me the evidence.
