Calgary may win the series, although I still give Detroit in 6.
But you guys, hhehe, old men. They do have some very good young talent. Zetterberg. Datsyuk. Heck, their grinder line isn't even that old, Draper, etc.
Hull, shannahan, yzerman, yeah, old, but who else is an ailing old man?

well in the Calgary-Van game, about 30 seconds left, a guy throws a jersey onto the ice, it didnt hit the puck, but the ref missed a slash as he bent down to pick it up. The rule sas if outside interference occurs, then play is stopped, and there is a faceoff where the puck was at the time.
some moron threw an octopus onto the ice during the play, and the ref blew the whistle right away, and stopped the play.
Throw AFTER a goal..not during the play...

Datsyuk and Zetterberg are the only starting Wings' forwards under 30. Conversely, Conroy, Gelinas and Oliwa are the only starting Flames that are over 30 (Forwards, Defense and Goalie combined).
In fact, the average age (32.1) of the Wings D is almost 8 years more than the Flames (24.6).
Wings:
Hatcher - 32, Lidstrom - 34, Fischer - 23, Schneider - 34,
Chelios - 42, Dandenault - 28
Flames:
Warrener - 28, Leopold - 23, Commodore - 24, Montador - 24, Ference - 25, Regehr - 24
This young Flames team is just beginning to show their potential. Lots of similarities to the Canucks about five years ago. I can't wait to see what the future holds in store.
Go Flames Go!

Ya what a game last night, for detroit ne wayz. Flames played like garbage for about 30 minutes of this game and well for 33-35 minutes in the game. Detroit was all over us but just couldnt finish. Just look at conroys post game interview and the expression on darryls face at the end of the game it was like the team was astounished, or really couldnt believe they had won two OT games in a row. Kipper is the man and its seems like detroit just cant score if there is a good goalie in net whos on his game. I know its early and ofcourse anything can happen and probably will, but i am still pickin flame in 7 but hopefully sooner. As long as our supporting cast keeps poppin in the unlikely goals we mayjust see these flames in the final.

I woudlnt say they didnt deserve to win
they certainly got lucky, but then again, you often need luck in the playoffs to get by. Look @ the 2nd goal in Philly.
they played horrible in the 1st, and were lucky to make it out 0-0.
Played better, but still poorly for most of the 2nd, and got a good nice goal (great shot by Regher)
In the 3rd I thougth they played very well (despite not scoring)
the SOG story was way off, Detroit should have had more, but those that sail 1 foot wide, or 6 inches high dont count.
Calgarys should have been higher, but those that come thru the blue paint, but dont get touched because of good D on the wings part dont count either.
Detroit didnt seem to be pushing as hard in the 3rd, maybe they were tired, or just being lazy..I dont know. I think this showed the flames a glimpse of weakness, and they exploited it by taking the body hard, which is what they need to do on all lines, all the time for them to win the series.
honestly I didnt think the flames stood much chance in the series, despite them being my pick in this round (flames in 7). They showed me that they can beat the wings, and I wouldnt be surprised if they do it again tomorow.
hey a win is a win, no matter how fancy your goals(detroit) or how much you hack at lose pucks and get rebounds...goals are goals, and they lead to wins.
Detroit needs to crash kipper more if they want a chance. shots from 60 feet out arent going to beat him.
