PVD might have been a no show, but Guy Ornadel played the best set of the night in his place!!

This event for me was a huge disapoitment.
I have travelled all the way from Sweden to see it. Since we want to check out the city of Glaskow during the day - we decide so skip Ferry Corsten (because of his early perfomance) - which was a huge misstake. MIKE was ok and Nu-Nrg was good. But then when you were so exited to see PvD and he didn't show up everything turned for me to dissapoitment. Guy was very good as someone said but the disapoitment off no PvD made me feel like shite so i want home. If i only han knew that he would not play i woould have get there earlier to catch Ferry instead.
No, for me the festival var really shite - but the Scottish pepeole vere very nice though. And i also was able to catch both the magnificent football staduims Parkhead & Ibrox so it was still worth the trip from Sweden.
One other thing. The drinks...??? A vodka redbull containded 2cl of vodka?? or you could buy a small smirnoff ice. How do you manage to party on alcohol in a festival like that for so long time with such kind och "kinderdrinks"?? No wonder pepole use drugs a lot on those festivals.

Hey, you didn't give me a chance to answer.
Anyway, the Soma tent would have easily filled the void created by the main tent. Tom Middleton = a legend and so is the Soma label.

im not really into soma..slam are good when they play techno, but the rest dont appeal to me, with the exception of green velvet, so for me even the tehcno is a pretty poor lineup, whn last year there was coxy, michel de hey, mr.c and dave angel
basically the lineup is shit cos colours have sold out to the hardcore masses, replacing the prog tent of last year featuring sasha & diggers, lawler, burridge etc.. with q-tex, public domain and other random bam-magnets . no score

Photos/Videos from Coloursfest
Just wanted to post a link to some of the photos/videos I took at Coloursfest this past weekend. There aren't very many but it will give you an idea of what it was like in Arena 1.

I did have a great time as I caught up with 2 of my Aussie 'mates but all three of us were really disappointed PVD didn't show up. Fair enough he had a bum eye and couldn't fly but the thing I found the most irratating is that at about 23:00, one of the MCs came on, asked everyone if they were having a good time and then proceded to tell us who was still to come that night.
And yes, he said PVD *WAS* coming. Now, I'm fairly sure that the promoters would have known by 23:00 if he was coming or not for a set that was supposed to happen at 02:00. The only thing I can guess is that they didn't want to announce it and have a bunch of people just leave early.
I will say this though... Coming on to replace PVD when it was obvious that loads of people were expecting him, I have to tip my hat to Guy Ornadel as I thought his set kicked ass. Nice and hard and I loved it when he dropped FM2 (Feelin' Me) by DJ Scot Project. I had only heard it on shitty steroes so to finally hear it really banging was unreal. Cheers Guy for a fantastic set.
OK, I've rambled on too much. Loved Anne Savage (how sexy is she) and NU-NRG (first time seeing them live) were also lovely. Way Out West were OK but the timing of their set was ALL wrong. You just don't slow things down like that after Anne Savage. No matter how good it is musically, it just kills the vibe...
Enough. My 2 cents worth...
Cheers,
S.
