and i would think racing the tour de france is pretty difficult as well
as for tuffest id say Mixed Martial Art competition like UFC, Pride ,ect makes boxing look medicore. |
my vote goes for nascar. Flame me if you want, but these guys do for 3 -4 hours what formula 1 does only for 60 minutes. Withstanding temps of 160-180 with flame suits on. high amount of Lateral G's, Having to avoid otehr drivers and drivers mistakes at 190-200 MPH and keep their lane at the same time.
I dont know how many of you have beenin a real Nascar vehical, but if you can imagine this. You are pretty much sitting on the ground, you have a 1 foot high window to lookout, you can barely move your head to look around, and You have no way to look behind you. It is constantly changing, no one person dominates *cough*Ferrari*cough* You also have to think about engine factors and winding a V8 out to 9000 RPM, your aerodynamic factors to stay competitive, debris on track *coming at you at 180-200 MPH* Staying within 2 feet or less of everyone around you, yet not coming in contact. If you watch the driver going througha corner you can see how much he has to fight the car to keep it in line.
I would have to say it is on par with wrestling for how good of strength you have to be in in order to compete.
On par with soccer for having to counter everyone elses moves while still working out how to get yourself tot he front and stay there w.o any problems.
RIP #3
EDIT: also, unlike soccer or basketball you cant "holdonto the ball" in the final few minutes to ensure a victory, you race to the VERY end, and often it only comes down to a few inches.
