I thought it was a great show. MAINER, too bad I didnt see you and your buddy once you got in. I got my flag signed, anyone get a picture of him holding it up??? I tried to get a pic of him holding it up, but I was worried the vinyl he autographed for me was gonna get stolen. I would really appreciate it if someone who snapped a pic of him holding it could post it or post a link. Me and a group of ppl waited out back of the commodore til 4am but he never showed he must have gotten out early or went out the front. It was great meeting more TAs. You guys have to let me know when you come down to Seattle! The vinyl he passed down to me was D.T V A.B- Take My Hand white label promo. I will post pix I took later. I thought he wasn't at his best, but it still was a great show. Kevin did a great job opening. Lighting could have been WAY better, and where was the laser???? |
that promo has now seen a full release but under Darrent Tates other alias... its now titled
Jurgen Vries vs. ? - Take My Hand
obviously its a complete trance rework of the classic Dido song.

hey hey everyone, late reply buuut…
had a GREAT TIME! thank god for ids… heh… spend most of the time with DJ Dovla, which was cool, also saw sothis and a few other TAs I forget the name of… also waited round back with RaveMedic for a few hours, but Tiesto evaded us… first time seeing tiesto live and just wow, that’s all I have to say… I think the crowd was pretty good actually, but maybe that’s just cause im used to the whole youngish raver people that I dislike oh so much… even though I am young, im not a tard
best part was when I shoved my way to the front at the end and was the first person to request a signature heh… I reached out with my copy of love comes again and tiesto looked at me in a sorta “ugh, fine” way when I begged him hahahah, but he took it, and signed it, then tossed it back and continued to spin… even BETTER was when he tossed out a white label promo copy of Vincent de Moor!!!! Tracks are A. Nebula , B1. Yellow Subway, and B2. No Hesitation
2 SIGNED VINYLS!!! WHAT A NIGHT!!!!

BASTARDGUY! Now I'm twice as jelous!
Anyway, I was reading the tracklists of what people said he played.
So I'm at home right now, listening to "A Tear in the Open", and I really, really do think that Tiesto "DID NOT" play this track. I could be wrong, but seriously, I really don't like this track. It's waaaaaaaaaaay to slow, no substance. I think that if I heard this track, I probably would have just stood thinking, okay, NEXT TRACK PLEASE. I do remember Nyana, Adagio, Love COmes Again, Traffic, but not A Tear in the Open. This track just does not fit in with what he was playing. Everything was so full of energy. I even remember Mainer saying to me that he has to slow it down a bit, which he did, I think he played 2 tracks that brought the energy level down just a bit, but nothing A Tear in the Open. I don't get it. I really don't like this track! I really don't think he played it that night!
