Apparemment ils se seraient fait attaquer.

As many of you may know, we were recently DDoS'd by a certain group of people (who shall lawfully remain nameless for now).
They sent over 400Mbit of useless information to our server, twice within one day. Click here, for an graph of the first spike.. the second was very similar, lasting for nearly an hour however.

The spikes stop at the 97Mbit limit of the MRTG graphs.. but they actually affected Hurricane Electronics (HE) southern states network quite badly. Needless to say, they are not happy. We know who is behind this, but this does not by any means mean we are retaliating.
Internet wars are childish, and we will play no part in them. We have chosen not to retaliate for this reason, even though if it came to it, we could. We will press through this, and if we keep on getting attacked.. so be it. The people involved deserve what's coming to them.
This for your information. We are sorry about the inconveniences caused. They are beyond our control at this point.

Please be patient, and continue to support eSsEnTialSets. Please stick around, and don't migrate off into other hubs because of this. We all know eSsEnTialSets is the best of it's kind, and the only reason it was attacked is though random hate. We would also appreciate it if people would not discuss this in other hubs or public forums, even in here! What has happened has happened, and what will happen, will happen.

Hub wise, the future is uncertain. The direct connect network is become more and more of an IRC-like script kiddies environment, and quite frankly we don't like it! We are considering moving away from the DC network, which i believe will provide a much better eSsEnTialSets experience. This may seem extreme, but i believe it necessary. eSsEnTialSets has outgrown it's original host (direct connect) and needs to establish itself as it's own community.
We will keep you informed!

Mais vaudrait mieux pas en parler semble-t-il...
