STFU dont base ure judgement about a whole race on one person.

3-2 agains czech, bravo for scoring 2 fast goal then trying to play defence (with that inexistant defence you guys have) it surely didn't work.

U definetely did NOT see the game then as holland had more chances after the 2-0 then the czech republic did so please again STFU about things u cant judge on.
Inexistant defense huh? Stam: plays at Lazio, Reiziger: plays at barcelona Van Bronckhorst Plays at barcelona. Cocu Plays at barcelona. We actually have a very capable defense except u have too much shit in ure eyes to see it.

we were the only team which had a walk over against latvia (germany tied, czech barely won)
We had a great match against czech republic but due to the ref, a lot of unluckyness and poor defending at the end of the game we lost.
germany we played sucy have to admit

Visje.. don't react to malek's posts... he's trolling.

He doesn't know what he's talking about. I mean, he's from Syria.. what's the last time the Syrian team did anything noteworthy

To me it doesn't look very promising. Edman is suspended and if Nilsson will probaby get to play eventhough he was made a fool by both Italy and Denmark. Robben will destroy him. At least we get Linderoth back from suspention.
We need to do something about the defence.
Its pretty strange, we have ALWAYS been a defending side with a stable defence. All of a sudden we are an attacking side with a shaky defence. Go figure.
I think we still have a chance because Holland hasn't really impressed me that much, but they are certainly favorites.

Does any of the Holland suporters know of Petter Hansson of Herenveen? He hasnt played a minute in the EC, but was voted second best player in the dutch league. Is he really that good nowadays?

Euro-Dutch delight coupled with anti-German chants

AMSTERDAM, June 23 (Reuters) - Dutch fans honked car horns and chanted anti-German songs on Wednesday after the Netherlands beat Latvia 2-1 to progress to the Euro 2004 quarter-finals and their arch-rivals went out.

In the town of Venlo near the German border, several hundred young fans attacked cars with German number plates, the ANP news agency reported.

Fans who had crammed into bars festooned with orange balloons in the Dutch capital cheered when they heard that the Czech Republic had beaten Germany 2-1, eliminating the Netherland's traditional foes and putting the Dutch through.

"The team's game was fresh and it gives me hope for the quarter-finals. They were attacking in a typical Dutch way, pressure football. I think they'll play well against Sweden," said Tim Boesman, a 28-year-old lawyer in a packed pub.

Wind and rain kept crowds away from the squares that are traditionally the focus of soccer celebrations. Cars driving along Amsterdam's central canals hooted in unison.

"I'm very happy that the Czech Republic beat Germany," said Gerard Cillessen, a 26-year-old wearing an orange T-shirt and chanting "Shame, Germany, everything is over" with his friends.

Others had sympathy for the country's neighbours.

"Just as Germany and the Netherlands had done so much to repair their rivalries, everything came to the surface again as the teams were in the same group," said Inger Schaap, a 20-year-old history student.

The two sides drew 1-1 in an earlier group match.

Many fans appeared to have forgiven coach Dick Advocaat, who was slammed for substituting winger Arjen Robben during the 3-2 defeat by the Czech Republic last weekend.

"Advocaat is a good coach, you can't judge somebody just on one substitution. One substitution does not make or break a game. We will be European champions," said Teun ter Bruggen, a 43-year-old who renovates old buildings.

Boesman agreed: "The criticism he got was much too personal. It would be bizarre if the most criticised coach ended up being the winning coach."

and i could quote countless posts from this boards from idiots like yourself.

excuses again... Its almost an exploit to give a 2 nil advantage to the opponent... but bleh, whatever floats your boat.

and where does it say that I have to root for my home country? our national sport is eating kebabs anyways

Of course we know Petter Hansson. He is a capable defender and scored a few headers this season. But I don't think he is good enough to play against attackers like V. Nistelrooij...

It is a pity Edman is suspended. He is one of the better leftwingers in the Dutch competition and played a good tournament till now. It will be an interesting game, because Zlatan, Larsson and Alback have played in the Dutch competition as well!

What do you think of our 'famous' Dutch striker in the Swedish competition Geert den Ouden, player of Djurgardens?!?!? He isn't even selected in the Dutch squad!

I agree with that........TO COCKY! Even still i'm also Dutch, it irritates me too.

First we are almost dead....had to wait what Tsjechia did and everyone scolded at Advocaat, next moment everybody thinks we are going to win the final

I say we win from Sweden, but we'll lose in the next round. Portugal beats us.

Oh and Malek: get you head out of your ass and start typing with your fingers in stead of your dick!

This is for you:
