Ok...my long ass review.
I left later than I had originally planned on, but I made really good time getting to Orlando. I was so tired driving that 1/2 way there I thought I was going to fall asleep at the wheel. Long week started to catch up to me. I wish I could have met up with everyone for dinner, but that just wasn't in the cards for me. When I first got to Icon there wasn't anyone in line. I walked right in. I didn't see any of the TA's yet so I waited near the front door. The first person to show up was Neil...how appropriate. We hung out for a while and then eventually went upstairs and walked around. After a while Ryan and Rachel showed up. We hung out for a while longer before we started seeing other TA's...Hope, Jeff, Stan, James, Pat, Phil, anycrew, etc. The opening DJ had a decent set...nothing spectacular. I did enjoy him spinning Papau New Guinea. We were right next to the elevators and when we turned around Tiesto was right there. He had to walk through us to get to the booth. This might sound weird to say, but I could already tell that it was going to be a good night because he was smiling ear to ear and you just feel his vibe. He was clearly in a good mood.
When Tiesto first walked into the booth some of the TA's hung out to the left side of it. I then decided to move right behind it...next to Ben and Pat. When Tiesto started spinning most of the TA's went downstairs. I decided to stay where I was for a while...right behind Tiesto. I met a guy, Neil, that knows some TA's from Miami. He recognized me from Space. I enjoyed hanging out where I was because Tiesto was right in front of me and his vibe was so strong that I just soaked it up. At Space he was very quiet and seemed troubled...detached. At Icon he was laughing, joking, and dancing around. Of course he had to keep turning around to his records and CDs and when he would he would constantly look up at the people standing there and smile...and start dancing with us. How could you not enjoy being a part of that? The first 5 or 6 songs of his set were all vinyl. Maybe even more than that. Somehow his huge CD book got wet and they had to rush someone to get some towels. He was constantly toweling the inside of the case off. You would think that would really upset a DJ, but he just dealt with it. You could tell he was a little concerned (with the condition of the CDs...taking them out and checking them), but he never let it get to him. The vibe in Icon was just too good and he kept having his attention drawn back to the dance floor and to those of us behind him. Tiesto signed autograph after autograph...flyers, posters, t-shirts. Even when he was in the middle of doing something he would stop to acknowledge the person standing there. I took a bunch of pictures and hopefully some of them will come out. After a while Ben showed back up and then a little bit after that Ryan walked up. Ryan was trying to get Tiestos attention to see his phone...where Tiesto had autographed (previously). A guy in the booth took Ryan's phone and handed it to Tiesto. I have a picture of Tiesto facing towards us and looking at Ryan's phone. I only hope it comes out! haha! Neil (Mattivi) showed up soon after and we all stood there and hung out for a little bit. Ryan had told me what a good mood Neil was in and I have to admit...when Neil walked up you could just feel his vibe. There was no AC where I was standing but I didn't care because I was in such a good mood at that point. It was nice having some friendly faces around me...it made me want to hang out with them. I probably would have stood there for a while longer had Ryan and Neil not come up there. We decided to go downstairs and join the group. All of the TA's were in the middle of the dance floor. It was perfect. You just feel the vibe coming from them! The vibe was amazing! Tiesto had an awesome set! He was totally into the crowd. He put on some music that just blew that room up. Some songs that just got inside of your head...kicked my ass. The last hour of the night I spent in the middle of the dance floor with all of the TA's. You guys were so much fun! We owned that room!
Neil...my Tiesto whore...you made my night. You showing up early was perfect...gave me some time to hang out with you. What did it for me though was your vibe. There are certain people that I wish could have been there, but when we were standing on the dancefloor and you were behind me...hugging me from behind and holding my hands....there is no one in this world that I would have rather been standing there with than you. The vibe coming from you was nothing short of amazing. The love that you have for Tiesto radiates from you. I just love being around that. I am so happy that the night went as well as it did. It was nice seeing you having such a good time after how out of it you seemed on Friday night. Have a good time this weekend and make sure to call me during his set!
Ryan...the more time that I spend around you the more that I like being around you. Before you were just Neil's brother, but now you are so much more. I have a good time when I'm around you...you have a good vibe just like Neil. I'm sure that we will hang out again soon.
Rachel...well weren't we in a good mood?! haha! You looked so damn cute! I loved hanging out with you on the dancefloor.
Hope...hey beautiful! Pleasure as always!
Jeff...I'm glad that you were able to make it to this show. We missed you in Miami, but you didn't really miss anything since this show more than made up for it.
Patrick...you make me laugh! OMG you are too damn funny! People on that dance floor had no idea what to make of you! hahahahaha! You are so much fun to hang out with!
Ben...I had a good time hanging out with you when we were upstairs. We didn't hang out together once we were downstairs, but upstairs was well worth it to me...heatstroke and all. I don't remember your brother's name...sorry! Tell him hello for me though!
Phil...I don't think someone could have slapped that smile off of your face. Kneeling in the middle of the floor was classic!
Stan...Tiesto owned you! I think that is funny! Reminds me of that conversation you, me, and Neil had at the FLTA party! I'm just giving you a hard time. It was nice seeing you have fun.
James...I'm glad that you had fun. I know your style of spinning is a little different. I think Tiesto covered a lot through out his set. This quote from you is the best..."If everytime I saw him it was like this I probably could be a Tiesto whore." haha!
Anycrew...it was very nice meeting you!
As soon as I get the pictures developed I will post them.
I had a blast with all of you! That was one of the best times that I've had in a nightclub...definitely! Tiesto owned me...no question about it! His set completely blew away his set at Space. He played more vocals...was more melodic...and he definitely took us on a journey. He played some phat hard trance and some breaks that owned us all! Props to him! I am so glad that he was in such a good mood! You could tell without a doubt that he loved being there!
Long live Tiesto!!!
I love you guys!
Amber
