I checked oakenfold for a few minutes during his set and rather liked his "cheese". Yep - I liked the remixes of old rock tracks. w00

'Checked out Kool Haus to see Richie Hawtin. I thought his set was OK - but honestly i only enjoyed the last 1 hour of his set. Something just changed in his tune selections and did it for me.

As for Sven Vath.. WOW!! Every minute of what I heard of his set was dirty electro-infused techno. I loved the tunes he played, and nice crowd interaction! I would've liked to see Sven go on before Richie as I only caught 45 minutes of Sven's set before heading out to sleep before the AVB cruise.

Conclusion: I'll see Sven Vath again, for sheezie.

Been so busy I couldn't get around to writing a review until now. Magda was on when I went into KH. I tried to hang around and get into her set but I just wasn't feeling it. Was glad to run into Resnick, goodnet and voodoochild at the meet up. After that, I moved over to the guv main room to catch some of Okies set. His performance was very mediocre but the crowd was really into it so there was a good vibe. I kept going back n forth between the main room and skybar for the next little while. John Aquaviva was playing a great house set up on the skybar but I didn't stay too long each time I went up. The whole juice-monkey crowd isn't really my scene.

I returned to KH half way through Hawtin's set and was greeted by the pounding sounds of techno. Ran into mot10n and RobbyG who were also digging Hawtin's set. Danced up on the stage until Vath came on. Then I moved up right in front of the DJ booth alongside mot10n and voodoochild. Props to guv for bringing Vath in as Cox's replacement. Boy did he deliver!! I haven't danced that hard in a long time. This was my 2nd time seeing Vath in KH but I can't pick which time was better.

All-in-all great night filled with good tunes and good conversation. Plenty of room to dance also made the night more enjoyable. Unfortunately, the end of the night wasn't as great. I got cussed at, very badly I might add, by a bouncer for asking to go back in the KH from the main room around the time KH was in the process of being shut down. I had ventured into guv to buy some pop for myself and voodoochild because all the bars in KH were already closed. So here I am trying to explain my situation to the bouncer but the guy was a fucking brick wall. Next thing I know the bastard is yelling profanity at me and I just walk away before I get thrown out or something. I take a few minutes to cool off before leaving the club. I try not to let the incident ruin the good memories from that night but it's hard to put aside. I wish guv management would do something about the unfriendliness and rudeness of the bouncers but I've been going for the past 3 years and nothing has changed.

highly highly highly doubt that a recording of this exists, let alone be available for download..

if you want to listen to some of the tracks sven dropped, check my psuedo-tracklist.. some banging tracks there, tho i am trying to id some more.. väth always plays some crazy shit that gets id'd months after
