1. Infected Mushroom are indeed genious. "Classial Mushroom" is a psychedelic masterpiece with such a complexity that u find new melodies and sounds every time u listen to it(and i can say that ive done so like 300, 400 times). BP Empire, which i also own, is much more subtle and atmospheric....totally different but also brilliant.
They can be EASILY compared to GOA-masters like X-Dream (whose album i bought 1 month ago) and Hallucinogen.
2. I hate(!) that never ending Genre-Discussion. (like u can read it now in the "chill out" forum again") Techno/House/Trance/Goa...sam ZAIN! i only know two genres: good music and bad music, nekuda.
There shouldnt be no concurrence and goddamnit no Competition of what is more "underground" and what is "cheese" and "commercial music".
If they'll put Barber's Strings for Adagio or I love you by Cosmicman into some commercial ill still love it, and if theres some "underground" boring shitty Techno song ill HATE it.
Ill put it this way...
Techno..Tsuyoshi Suzuki...some Picotto(which is more tech-trance), Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin..
House..Antoine Clamaran...Daft Punk(have techno too) Roger Sanchez...Modjo..(more french house)
Trance-uplifting: dumonde, corsten, tiesto, van dyk(?)oakenfold?
progressive: van buuren, digweed, graham, sasha..oakenfold?
Zehu ze..(u lo aheret! )

I think there has to be genre classifications(spelled it right?) so we could know what we are listenning to.. like, when you listen to some techno track and you want more from its' style then you will go and look for more trax of the techno genre.. know what I mean?
and I think Armin van Buuren, as a DJ, is more progressive than uplifting..I've heard many sets from him..he spins alot of progressive house stuff...
oh, and Modjo is pop(!).. sorry I had to write that..
