Very nice idea.Tip : browse the TA forums it has lots of tutorials on ways to achieve a certain sound/ do effects etc you could collect them and put them on your site.Also you could ask members here to write certain articles I think most people her wouldn't mind it would be stupid not to use the know-how some people here have.

i created a table with bassline patterns. if you like i can send it to you so you can put it up on your site. these patterns have been collected mostly from this forum. the table is in excel format.
