Gloss over graphic? |
gloss is at the end period. If you double gloss itll look noticable, gloss is very thick when dry, although it doesnt look so. gloss is last thing to do. Dirty work first, and you have to put special adhesive onto the graphic before doing it aswell as bonding adhesive to the paint for it to stick better and look better,it also wont streak down.Id really recommend a light color primer first, such as a white. Many reasons to that. Then again after you paint you wanna make sure to sand it down a bit with a very small grain sandpaper to its not so griddy when you apply gloss to it. If you have enough patients you can sand down the last coat of gloss too and recoat another layer of gloss to ensure even better looks. This is my list of what i did to my older MDR's.
1.Adhesive "Bondo" Spray
2.White/Gray Primer
3.Neon Color Coat #1
4.Neon Color Coat #2 (Extra Effects/Touch Up)
5.Graphics
6.Gloss
Full job was about 3 hours.
I also redid the head band part color to fit my blue headphones,i made it white, fully new leather puffed stiched fabric with custom made sony letters, spray painted and glossed.
