What a fantastic day! It was nice to get together with friends I had not seen in a while as well as make some new ones. Special thanks to the DJs, who all played amazing sets and our awsome organizers Sally and Micheal who made all of this happen.

Oh dear, you shouldn't have admited that...but now that you have, I'd keep a box of napkins handy, just in case you run into the 'face licker' aka LDK again.

My sister & I had a great time. It was nice seeing so many TAs out and about. Big thank you to the organizers. Wish we could have stayed longer, the music was off the hook. I'll remember to bring a flash-light next time.

A huge thank you to everyone. There were so many good things about this party that I won't try to list them all, but beyond everything else we were blown away by the support that everyone gave. This was a true collective effort, from us as organizers, from the DJs, from the people who helped us set everything up, and from everyone who came and brought such consistently positive energy.

We also won't try to acknowledge everyone, because I would undoubtedly miss some people. But there are a few individuals who deserve to be recognized for the help they provided - without them we wouldn't have been able to put on this party:

  • Neeta (Voodoochild): for being our co-organizer, including getting the generator, getting the water and providing the decorations
  • Seth: who built that awesome sound system himself, from the ground up
  • Max Q: for playing the opening set, providing help with transportation, lending his mixer, renting the CD deck, and generally being there when needed
  • Natalie (Tatgirl): for coming up with the tent, out of the blue and without being asked
  • Victoria: for the great flyer, and helping choose the name for the party

  • Steve (Curious George) >>>For everything else, including transport, carrying equipment, setting up
  • Greg (gqstyles) >>>and staying around until the very end to help take everything down and
  • Gavin >>>carry it back out again...

What else to say? The music was awesome, from Seth's productions that we played right at the beginning, and from the first DJ set to the last, 10 hours later. We heard nothing but compliments (and well-deserved ones) from people about the DJs, all day. Even when people weren't dancing (which was basically most of the day while the sun was up), they were definitely listening and appreciating. There didn't seem to be a down period, musically speaking, in the entire day. We had so much fun, and hopefully everyone who went did too. We thought of this because we thought it would be cool to have a party outside for our friends and their friends, and to give some DJs we know more opportunities to spin. We have so many DJs in this city that are so good, and the more chances they have to showcase their talent, the better.

But all of that said, I don't think we'll be throwing a Celsius II anytime soon - at least not outdoors.

Well, I tell ya I had a GREAT time at Cherry Beach! What a venue that place is. It's so cozy and it's the PERFECT size for what we used it for. I would love to have parties there again (although it IS a bit of work to set things up and tear-down)

I had a lot of fun spinning for you who were there to listen to it. And for those who weren't there, I'll get you guys next time.

All the other DJ's were amazing. It was the best day ever.

BIG HUGE Thanks go out to Mercure, Allegory and Voodoochild -- well done organizing the party and I can't wait to go to your next ones!!

Yay, Sally and Michael! Good job, it was an all round success as the weather was a non factor after all.
I really wish I could have been there since the beginning as I missed many good local talent.
Thnx Richard for the beer and tix, Matt, Mike and Aaron for the reeaaally good tunes!

Kudos to Sally and Michael for an excellent party!

I was there for 3 hours and caught 4 dj's.... good tunes all around! Loved the soundsystem... so nice & clean and not at all washed out esp. considering the outdoor venue.

Also great to meet a lot of you for the 1st time as well.
