Ok, so HE replied via e-mail to my "GF" (thanx "stacey" for the idea) saying he would sell her an amp and wants to meet in person. Im gonna call him. hopefully it will all work out, but if not Ill have to get someone from NYC to meet him to pick up the gear. Preferably a "lawyer" family friend
get your "girlfriend" to meet him for something small... headphones or something - then go with your girlfriend and copies of all your documentation and say "guess what, son?"

Yeah, the only problem with that is that he lives in NYC and I live neer Toronto....=20 hour Drive.
Barry,Dude relax, there's no need to lose your cool. Do you really think that I would provide you with all my information inlcuding my home address and then try to screw you? I took a few days off to take care of some personal matters so I haven't been online. I mean, you're upset because your money order is taking forever to clear which is really not my fault. I told you from the get go that I will not ship the units out until everything has cleared. I visited the bank last week and the money order was still processing so I'll give it another shot today since you say it cleared already. I'll fill you in around lunch time when I get back. And oh, I'm REALLY not pleased with how long this is taking either so please do not try to scare me because I have nothing under my sleeves. I could of sold the cd players for $1500 cash without all the headaches, but instead I'm saving them for you since we made a deal.
Alright. Well thank you. I assuming you can see my situation. You had said the order had cleared earlier and you were just giving it a day or so. Im just getting worried. The other "offer" i had in compaison to your turned out to be a HUGE fraud where one guy had been ripping people off for a total of $5000 so far so you can kind of see that Im a bit worried here. Ill give you a call when it goes to low time. around 7pm tonight and hopefully everything will be confirmed.

If your buying on ebay use your credit card, so you can dispute the charge with your credit card company if you dont rcv your merchandise.

Few things you can try doing:
1. Call NYPD and file a fraud report against him
2. If you sent your money order via regular Mail, you might be elligible to file a complaint for interstate mail fraud - depending on canadian laws. However, once that mail hits US mail system, you might be able to get US Mail cops involved. Visit www.usps.com to get phone numbers for mail.
3. how did you purchase money order? If it was with credit card, you could try disputing the charge with your credit card company.
Getting screwed sucks bro... I just got jipped $1000 for a Roland Drum machine that came broken and guy doesn't respond. I'm currently in the process of getting some justice. The truth is that with so many a-holes around, you might not have much recourse, short of paying the focker a visit and using Lousiville slugger problem resolution method - you know, baseball bat to his kneecaps. Sure it may not get your money back but it'd make you feel better.
Best of luck with this. let us know if it gets anywhere.

Use the paper trails to lock on to the guy.
Go to your bank. Tell them the situation, and
let them help you identify who actually deposited your money order.
They should have the power to do that.
Then they can give you his address, and you can start working
from there.
Like file a fraud for example.
oh yeah, I'd wish people would focus on the solution,
not the problem more.
