are producers really running out of ideas? or feel the need for a quick buck? i mean i heard this last night and it sounded good and all, its originally a good track imo, but why not spend the time and energy making a remix of something thats already been done and is in the past into creating something new and original? i mean you dont hear 'enter sandman 2004' or 'smells like teen spirit 2004' or 'stairway to heaven 2004 re edit' do you?? why is it like this with dance music?

Maybe not, but most old rock acts do get the mandatory "Best Of"-collection every single christmas...

Thats what i am thinking as well(though am a fan of the Ferry corsten version)

Toufas posted an interview with Armin. Toufas asked him, What do you think of all the remakes and remixes of old tracks.

I was like here comes the answer we all expect "lack of ideas"

Armin replied:
It's because of the download and sharing scene, they are loosing money so they can't invest in new producers. Well why do you remake communication 2 times? and why are all the major producers remaking and remixing everything? with your time and money that your putting in this remaking/remixing projects you can invest it in the new producers.

I just think, labels are afraid to do that, they rather want to be very selective, and if they need money they let some major producer remake something, even if it's crap, the majority will say: he/she is famous, so lets buy it

En-motion Re-edit is kinda poor, ... it's like adding a pinch of salt. 4,5/10

Ferry Corsten Remix is great, the style of this remix is quite simillar to other Ferry Corsten remixes and ofcourse there is that loop of Moon Project - Moments Are Forever in the beat! (listen carefully). The overall build-up is great and it's very uplifting and extremely dancefloor approved 8,5/10

The Mesh Remix shows the most originality to it. It really adds something new but I don't know what to think about it! I like it, but I thinks it kinda boring too... 6,5/10

Pulser Remix is the most dissapointing of the 2 vinyls! Nothing more to say about it! 4/10

Yeah,
En-Motion Mix sounds the same as their old mix. But no problem I hadnt this on vinyl. Ferry Corsten Mix is very good too, so that vinyl 1 is top for sure. Second One isnt as good imo; Pulser remix sounds boring. I'm missing the energy Pulser puts normally into his trax.

Vinyl 1: 9,5/10
Vinyl 2: 5/10

Its the end of the year, and i'm thinking that the Ferry Corsten Remix is the tune of the year ... And if someone told me at the beginning of the year that i would say that, i would have laughed. But this is one of the greatest trance tunes ever made to begin with, and he actually made it better ... and that is very very rare when classics are remade.
