you ever seen a full size english mastiff or a great dane? thats like 200+lbs of dog flying at you, unless you know martials arts or can squat like 500 lbs i don't think your kick is going to do jack against a big dog.

I probably could not take down a big ass dog like a mastiff or my friend's german shepherd (rest in peace) who was fucking gigantic, like a fucking monster, I have never seen a bigger german shepherd in pictures or anything, it was gigantic, he wouldnt even have to bite you, him taking you down with his front paws will probably have taken you out. A pitbull, or bull terrier, well once his jaws are in you and its locked then there is no getting them out, I mean you can shoot him in the head, stab him, cut him, set him on fire, the only way would be to have the doctors do something or shatter the dogs jaw but just a simple dog, well I was back in my home city, got attacked by a Russian dog, that bitch was vicious, I kicked it between the eyes, disoriented him for a while but there was a second one so I climbed the monkey bars. But if I was in a fight with a medium sized dog I would just whale on its fucking face, just give it some hard fast punches to the head, probably disorient it enough to give you an advantage. There was also a dog back in my home city they kept it in a huge cage type of thing with covers on the cage so the people wouldn't see it. It was a wolf killer, I guess the translation would be, they use them in the mountains and stuff too kill the wolf packs that come to get the sheep and the farm animals. Anywho those dogs get fucking HUGE, gigantic, this one was bigger than any of the ones I've seen, it must have been bigger than a bear, it was absolutely gigantic, I have no clue how they cared for it. It was kept by the people that kept this entertainment/arcade type of thing place. If anyone broke in I would imagine the dog would probably literally wrip them in half

I doubt it was as big as a bear. Absolutely not bigger. Have you ever seen one? Also, people who break in usually have crowbars or knives, and I'd imagine a big dog would be easier to hit than, say, a pitbull.

True, but have you ever tried to stop a dog just by hitting it?

A lot of dogs just keep on going once they have set their mind to something, and there isn't much you can do to stop them.

Also, dogs don't even know what a weapon is. Do you think you can scare of a dog by swinging a knife or a crowbar at it?

The best way to stop a dog? Bring it out of balance so that it lands on its back, and sit on it, holding its neck with two hands, while keeping pressure on its rear legs with your knees.

In that way, a dog can not get up.

I have tried that on my own dog (a german sheppard) once, and believe it or not, it works.

Note: The dog was not trying to attack me, it just came running towards me.

I can imagine it would be harder to stop a Great Dane or something like that, but it's worth a try.

They won't keep going is they have a knife in their neck. Or a crowbar in the eye.

I am sure they defend well against unarmed people, but they can't really do it otherwise.
