ok this looks very dodgy, but there's the possibility of the store being given the cd and not realising it is actually an illegal recording.. a very unlikely possibility

either way, just another nail in the coffin towards whats left of the past in the toronto area in regards to dance music - and nothing left to replace it. tripledecks has been a big part of the scene, it's hard to believe that one stupid cd has made it such a horrible place by a few of you.

On the contrary, a company that's been so involved with and such a "big part" of the scene definitely knows better. Just like the rest of us, they can tell the difference between legit and illegit copies of music. It's not that difficult. Even if it were, they definitely had the resources to get the necessary info from labels etc to confirm that sort of thing.

Exactly what i was thinking. If they have been around for years why did they put a cd like that out in the first place? They should indeed have known much better to at least check the legitimacy of the CD if not else before putting it for sale.

Ah, true. Next time I'll stick to 192kbps, make the sound muffled and put in a few major skips too. Incidentally, a big fat fuck you to whoever ripped my promo vinyl. 99% of vinyl rips are total shit, but when it comes to my first and now probably only vinyl, the rip is perfect. Twat!

And not forgetting to crank up that master volume... don't let a single microsecond of the track get in under 0db
