Harder than usual, I liked it. Total energy as always. Glowstick debacle was annoying. Is it me, but alot of the people that show up with glowsticks these days, have NO SKILLZ! They look like idiots!

Highlight: Murder Was the Bass!!!

I'm pretty pissed off about PVD...the weekend of my birthday and I didn't even get in the fucking door!!! I showed up at like 11 but the line was already insanely long. I nevertheless waited for an hour, hopeful that I would get in. Midnight passes, I heard PVD start his set through the walls, and I was still waiting outside. I'd moved about 20 feet since I arrived. I left not long after that, cause someone announced that it was now $35 to enter, and what's more, the doors would close at 12:30. I'm especially pissed to hear that he played a lot of techno. Talk about fucking Murphy's Law!!!

Edit: two lessons learned here...next time PVD and I are in the same city, I will camp out at the club the night before to avoid the lineup...and secondly, buy a fuckin' ticket!

aye, you havnt learned the ancient secret to clubbing in boston...

get on a fucking guest list...
its not that hard
club planet has one there every night
you save 5 dollers
and the line is soo fucking short.
they let you in underage there if you are lucky

i havn't had a problem, been going since 17...

lee, your secret doesn't apply to this past event. we were on guestlists, both afterdark and the online shit.... it didn't matter. the bouncers had no clue what do with all the people that showed and ween't able to answer any questions. they told guest list people to line up against the wall, which was a line 5-10 people wide, and everyone else was like up there too with or w/out tix or guest list. other lines that formed were then rejected. i moved three times from where i was to attempt to get in just to be fucked around with. in the end, i discovered a second line was now by the other door in which people with tickets/will call were entering as well as people without. people on the guest list couldnt get in here. the only way i managed to get into the club was to cut a shitload of people in that ticket line! when i was caught by bouncers i yelled at them with everything i had about being fucked with three times by their colleagues and that enough was enough and i was staying right where i was.... thanks to this, i got in. if i had followed any guest list line or anything besides my own intuition, i would not have got in. (i too almost turned around and went home at 12:05 right before things worked out)
in the end i paid the 35 and guest list had nothing to do with it whatsoever. it may work on pvd nite if you beat the crowd there.... but hey, 11 pm was far too late, so whats early enough?!

just figured i just contribute something since i was also in attendance on friday - what a GREAT time at avalon except for how packed the club was. i thought the opening dj was realllly good, and then pvd was quite impressive for my first time seeing him

--the rise was also really awesome...huge THANX to ahn and sal for the passes in...btw it was cool to meet a few of the boston TA's: sandstorm03, tranceispanacea, gubostondubs, and then all the other ta's i met..sorry - i seem to have a hard time to remember a few elements of that evening

i'll see all of yall again, hopefully sooner than later
