I would read the manual if I had one, but I couldn't find a stand alone one when I downloaded the demo

But more on your comment of how the other programs are more technical and more powerful, could you give an example of how? I've heard you can "re-wire" FL Studio as a plug-in, which is interesting to me because I have no idea how re-wiring works. But are you able to acheive more "powerful" sounds? Or do the same sounds sound better in more powerful programs? Or do the more powerful programs offer additional ways to tweak the sound more to your liking?

I apologize if this seems like an annoying question, but most the program reviews I can get my hands on all use the same language and asides from the pricetags, I can't seem to really pin-point the differences.

Some great comments form the users there^^^

Well it's been a heated argument on boards everywhere if FL Studio is more powerful or not. Really it shouldn't be so hard. FL is great utility that is really good if you add some good VSTi's like Pro-53. Peole argue that Cubase is more powerful, it may be but FL Studio it still a stong contender. Cubase and Logic are great because they alos support VSTi's but also have powerful MIDI features and can have many instruments connected to it via MIDI and run smoothly with no problem and no poorer sound quality. I think you should make the decision for yourself. I use FL Studio myself anyways, and I do alot of stuff using Reason too.

Thank you for the link. I had a read over there and you're right, it does seem like there is just an big argument between people about which is better. I thought maybe it was just a matter of personal preference, but plenty of people seem to have their reasons for believing one to be better than the other. For now, I think I'll stick with FL Studio (limited budget at the moment), and check into getting some plugins for it. Now, I'll have to give that 20 page sticky thread a good read

I "work" Almost exclusively in Sonar, Because its a very versatile Platform. But as far as the old Fruity Sux debate, Some of the more "professional" platforms, Cubase, Reason, P5, even Sonar don't lend themselves as well to on the spot creation. With FL, The creative process becomes infinitely more "natural". The interface of FL makes it a lot simpler to make Music instead of learning software. That's your first intention anyway right? Learn al the other stuff as you go. FL Studio is PLENTY powerful enough, simple to use, and great looking to boot.
