and they'd be right. For Boston to truly "kill" the Curse, they'd have to beat NY on the way to winning the World Series.

And sure the chowder heads get a lot of bandwagoners...people cheer for them just because they hate the Yankees.

The curse has a lot more to do with winning the World Series than the Yankee's. Yankee's fans can moan all the want, but if they lose to the Twins then that's just fine with me, a world champion is a world champion, regardless of who they play on the way.

Talking Great playoffs so far ...

Very entertaining playoffs so far. Twins should be leading Yankees 2 games to none, and they'll pay dearly for losing game 2 ... the game they should've won.

My Braves are barely alive, managing to come back in Game 2, only God knows what will happen to them in Houston, with Astros' 18 game home game winning streak in hand . Well, miracle do happen once in a while, dont you think? Go Braves!

I am not surprised at all that Red Sox are smoking the Angels, maybe now they'll win in 4, not 5 games, even a sweep would be nice ...
WOW, Angels just hit A GRAND SALAMI .... wowzers, maybe it wont be sweep after all. Go Bosox!

I am not surprised that Cardinals are pouring it out for the fans either. That's one of the best teams Cardinals franchise has produced, for sure, so they gotta go far, their next round should be more challenging than this weak Dodgers squad ...

Cowboy Up is such a funny phrase! I wish they still had that. THough Millar and Mientkiewicz said that they aren't shaving their beards till the end of the playoffs. Should be interesting.

At least my boy Vlad tied the game so no one can say he sucked in the post season. Still my favorite player.

Agreed, doesn't really make a difference who the play as long as they win!

haha thats funny as hell how theres so much red sox followers now cause of the attention they get for being "the anti yankees" yet they have the 2nd highest payroll....whatever.Fans and their curses,Martinez and his midget, Damon looking like a caveman, that whole place is nuts.I dont like the yankees but Id rather root for them then Boston, though I doubt the yanks can win the series.

It's not the payroll, it's the players. The 2004 Red Sox remind me most of the 1986 Mets. Just a bunch of knuckleheads who happen to be great at playing baseball. They seem like they're always having fun. I dunno, call me crazy, call me biased, or call me a dreamer, call me whatever you like, but I think *THIS* is what a team should be like:

Last year they all shaved their heads. They all had their socks old-school style. Now they're all growing out their hair and beards. I just think they're such an awesome team. I wish I could be a full blown Boston fan... I hope that the Mets could build a team like that again and not have the players blow it all away.

Well the Marlins had all the stuff you mentioned last year, and well this year, a bunch of guys who had fun, yelled out movie quotes and made jokes from the bench, and the manager was a character as well. They didnt need crazy haircuts and midgets to win the world series they played as a team while having fun.

Your liking the red sox for the same reason people liked the Oakland A's in the 70's they were "different" with those hairstyles,Rollie Fingers mustash and their out of the ordinary uniform, and were looser personality wise then the other teams who acted in the typical old school reserved manner. So I cant blame you there, its just that some people like the Sox and hate the yankees for the wrong reasons, brainwashed by the media and such, which isnt right.
but o well Go Cardinals
