OMG Ferry threw it down hardcore style. I was so into his set. He is such a nice guy. Got the usual autographs and Skye got her usual T-shirt autographed. Nice to meet those that were there. Nice venue, nice DJ, nice everything. Finally a DJ that is down to Earth and will talk to you between songs. I remember him throwing down...

Young Parisians Feat Ben Lost - Jump The Next Train (Solarstone Mix)
Ferry Corsten - Punk
Above and Beyond - No One On Earth (Gabriel and Dresden Mix)
BT - Force of Gravity
DJ Tiesto - Just Be
The Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia (Ferry Corsten 2004 Mix)

I remember singing along with some fellow TA's behind the DJ boothe to No One on Earth, and Punk!! As usual there are a bunch of songs that I cant remember for the life of me so please help out guys.
Oh yea, he uses A LOT of CDR's and a couple of vinyl such as for the encore. The first was a CDR and the second was vinyl. Two songs, both olde skool with the final being

System F - Out of the Blue That was the shite

Ferry rocked the house proper, and played a more lively set than he did in New Orleans on Sunday. He played for nearly an hour longer too, so he played way more tracks. Got to meet him beforehand, and I yakked it up with him for a few minutes, and got my photo with him. He's super cool and friendly, and not the slightest bit arrogant. I spent most of the show behind the DJ booth and shot most of my roll of film from that angle, then a few shots from in front. I was amazed at how close you could get to him during the show, I was probably 6-10 feet away from him a majority of the night. It was very cool to see how many fans he has in Austin. I wonder why there aren't more DJ's playing his style of trance locally. It was a fun night...I think I had 9 drinks hehe... I also got to see Blake again, and when I went to go talk to him the first time, Lance Cashion turned around and knocked half of my drink all over my VOODOO'04 t-shirt, but it's all good. Got to introduce myself, told him that I produce tech-trance, and he gave me his card in like 3 seconds. Super cool guy as well. After the show, everyone who was still there took off next door to the afterparty, I showed up for a few minutes, but quickly realized I knew no one there except Blake, who was off with other people. And it was already 3:30 by this point, and I've been fighting off this nasty cold I must have caught from somebody at Voodoo... (Dave it was probably you...it's ok, I'm nearly over it but now Lizzy is coming down with it too) So I was really tipsy after 8 1/2 drinks at Element, that combined with my cold, it was late, and I had already met Ferry, I felt like I had accomplished everything for the night. I felt it was an awesome way to end my 2 week vacation, and seeing Ferry twice in one week was a real treat... I probably won't ever get to do that again.

Tracks he played not mentioned above:
Ferry Corsten - Kyoto (remix) (awesome starter, hadn't heard this version before)
Ferry Corsten - It's Time (Ferry's Flashover Mix)
Ferry Corsten - Rock Your Body, Rock (Extended version)
Gouryella - Ligaya

Dude I got a cold as well so it must of been because of Dave. Glad you had fun at the event man wish I could have made it but I had to finish a report that's due today @ 1 pm. Guess I better get back to work.

I just hope some terrorist didn't release a cold virus at Voodoo that gets worse as it spreads like wildfire...at one point this morning in bed I coughed so hard I went blind for a sec. Do you remember how weak security was there? Just a wild guess....

*was one of the guys singing along with "racing4hoes"* sorry bro..forgot your name, and your girl/friends aswell. I was like 2 feet away from Ferry the whole night behind the Dj booth. Racing4hoes and I where calling just about evry tune Ferry was playing..Espacialy! when A&B-No one on earth was thrown down! I also got to talk to Ferry before the show, realy realy awsome guy, down to earth like someone else said. Afterwards i got a pic with him in the Dj booth. Also went to the "afterparty" at the Whyskey Bar..and like someone else sayd...didnt know anyone, but one person. So yeah i took off..and i had about 7 dos XX, had a class today at 7:30am..got home at 3:30....yeah, you guessed it..didnt make it. Overall Ferry definately left a good impression, top five in my book.
Oh...and btw..as i was leaving..i saw Ferry walking down 5th street to the Hilton i guess with a lady friend and another guy with that sexy blonde that was in the Dj booth all night. Beeing a dj has perks.

I started off at Apple Bar, then walked over to Element arriving around 10 PM. Trying to support the openers! The club was cold and semi-populated. I thought the opener(s) were good. Various guys tried to pop-a-lock or vigorously spun glow sticks, but Element was big enough it was hard to get critical dancing mass. 11 pm my friend & I had had enough to drink to start busting a move.

Favorite moment of the night: opener started to mix in New Order "Crystal". I LOVE this song, the only other club I've ever heard it at is Popscene in San Francisco.

Determined to make up for the ONE drink I'd managed to get all night at Sasha in Houston, I went a little overboard. I was the drunk white dancing fool!

Ferry played a good set. I can't add any songs beyond the ones already ID'd. The club never got particularly crowded, I could always get a good look at Ferry. The promoter had tried to talk us into upgrading to VIP. I didn't see any advantage to it--I had a great view from where I was. It was not as jam-packed as Sky for PvD.

Pluses: Good bar service. Nice dance floor. Respectful crowd.

Minuses: I felt like the crowd never quite had critical OHMYGOD momentum. Not a flaw of Ferry, more a lack of crowd density.

I took a card from a guy taking photos--I will post the link when I find that card again.

And I will definitely go to another show at Element---any rumors on who'll grace Austin next?

that guy that was taking pic gave me his card. I walked in as they were dropping in New Order - Crystal. That was great to just come into. I remembered the sound sytem had some minor flaws during the night. It was great.
