A talented writer leaves that boundary rather grey and hard to distinguish clearly.

No, a talented writer makes you feel like you are there, whether or not it is fact or fiction.

There are many attributes that a talented writer make.

A talented writer does not just make you feel as though you are there, they should be able to influence the emotion you are feeling whilst being in the scene.

I'll offer a small qualification on my opinion being that I am not much of a writer myself, and although not as well read as some my range of reading material is broad and diversely interesting, well to me at least.

(Note: That previous comment was made as I kicked a magazine with girls in bikinis on the front under my desk)

listen to the factual statement!

Description isn't merely a measure for good writing - some things just need to be left out sometimes when recalling events. After all, just because you are there doesn't mean you experience everything going on around you - so what good would later 'feeling like you are there' do for you? They say hindsight is 20/20 - what good is this statement if you are only living in the present of a situation? Perspective is a good thing.
