Sorry to say, but when you put the needs of other countries not above, but on the same level as your own in some aspects, then you get alot more cooperation, bush has had a unilateralist approach to international policy and it has failed horribly. We are WEAKER then when he took office, we have MORE ENIMIES, we have LOST more military personal in 2 years than the last 10, and that dosnt even begin to cover the domestic issues, which bush, frankley does not care about.
You say Kerry would put the interest of other nations ahead of our own.
Bush already did it, its called Iraq. |
right, i'm sure your country puts its interest on the same level as the US's. it is in the united states' best interest for the rest of the world to be democratic and peaceful. damn the US for trying to pursue this goal, right? i just love this "unilateral approach" to international politics. we have more nations with us now than in the gulf war, and your beloved (probably) UN passed all these mandates that sadaam disarm, but never had the fortitude to act. not to mention, that the rest of the world thought he had WMD (yes, you know they did), and who's to say it didn't all go across the border to syria? he sure had plenty of time to stash the stuff away...not to mention all the atrocities that he committed on his own people. an estimated 200,000 iraqis were killed because they didn't agree with him during his rule, not including the war with iran. you take a look at all the facts about sadaam's rule, and you tell me that removing him from power was the wrong thing to do...

could agree with you more. And its with amazing political tactics that Bush manage to change worlds positive sentiment after 9/11 to this anti-american sentiment. Wow great leadership

somehow, americans are blamed for terrorist attacks and not the people who carried them out and the nations who sponsored them. |
completly agree with you on that one. And i guess my last post completly escape you cause this is what i was trying to explaine. terrorist right now in Irak are killing some americans sure. but how many Irakies die everyday because of them. And im sorry to say but most Irakies don't really have a the luxury of television to informed the of who cause these problem. All they know is Americans invaded and now all hell broke loose. Who do you think they are gonna blame?
As for your other post regarding getting rid of saddam. I also agree that saddam was a brutal dictator and removing him from power is a good thing. however removing him from power without preparing a plan to rebuild, when american troops are already streched to thin, is not very smart. Bombs don't build countries. In time im sure it would have had to have been done. Problem is, Saddam even though in the past had done unquestionable evils, (Gassing the turks Iran and such) was at this point in time really not a threat to America. Maybe in the future. BUT NOT IN 2003-2004. what a fucking stupid idea that was.
AND YOU SUPPORT SOMEONE WHO MAKES THESE KINDS OF THOUGHTLESS DECISION
just can see how some ppl can be so blind

would someone here care to define what a democrat is and what a republican is?
what spawned this intrest in my head was what born2trance said about democrats, that they cant run a country. well, what makes the alternative party more qualified?
i would especially like to read a reply by born2trance himself
