We are all God in our own right - the difference comes in viewing yourself in the specific light, the difference comes in truly bridging the gap between the idea that God is everything and you are everything as well. That's all this is saying. There is no cult or religious mesage here - it's a (long) teliological statement which encompasses much of what we understand or think we understand about the Universe. Take it for what it is - don't be paranoid about somebody 'converting' you all the time!

THANK YOU! FINALLY SOMEBODY POSTS AN INTERESTING ANSWER! That is almost exactly how I think.

I am going out to each my lunch now, for crying out loud, I am HUNGRY, I'll be back in couple hours or so!

Yes, I think it made a lot of sense - it has significant basis in a LOT of Scientific theories and facts - it's not all just religious garbage, it's not about a guy 'talking to God' - it's about recognizing, through YOURSELF, that there is a God and his part of you is equally distributed throughout all of mankind. This part is perfection, and the only people who cannot see are those who refuse to open their eyes.

Personally, I think most people just couldn't get past the very first time they saw the word 'God' on the thread - the statement was lost from there.

It's a shame, really - such valuable musings wasted on people who do not wish to do anything but ridicule.

Thanks. You are a one intelligent person. Have you read the book(s), by the way? They are translated in over 30 languages around the world, best seller ...

I was just interested in sharing some of the views expressed in the book, and for you to make your own conclusions. Dont change your life. Maybe this will open your eyes more to the world. You dont have to believe the information. One day you'll find out the truth for yourself, because your superconsciousness knows everything ...

I dont have skills. I didnt write the book. I was curious what others thought about it. Thats all.

Well that changes everything. First off, I appreciate you taking your time and money to share your admiration for this book. It's always good seeing a different perspective on the whole issue that scares humans the most. Whether I agree with this author or not is irrelevant. But I can tell you this: I would rather read a book at least 300 years older. By doing this you will find that many of the ideas that you see in that book are just a fucken replica/echo of ideas already expressed centuries ago. Don't praise a book of a contemporary, that's the job of future readers.

And as far as the truth goes, I'm not worried about that. Truth, from whatever angle you look at it and whatever method you choose to observe it with, will always end up as a speculation and nothing more.

I'm afraid you must be suffering from affirmation bias. The author of that book merely tried to make as many disjointed pseudo-philosophical assertions as possible, and tried to put them as vaguely as possible so that everyone was bound to find a few sentiments that they could come to agreement with.

In terms of any type of logical analysis, however, there are so many non sequiturs involved that it would take a book of equal volume just to point them all out. Few assertions are supported by facts, or any type of logical deduction. Instead, rhetorical tricks are used to obfuscate the point being made and hide the lack of an actual set of premises or valid reasoning behind the conclusion.

All this reminds me that, back in medieval ages, they burned astronomers alive for thinking that earth evolved around the sun, rather than the all-well-known concept that Earth was the center of the universe ...

Today many of us are being sceptical about the true understanding of the universe ... one day, when our society wont be as primitive as it is today, we will understand. Book 3 talks about thousands of civilizations in other galaxies, and how we are so primitive when compared with them ...

That will never change. Earth and all its humans want to be the center of everything. The book you just cited is a perfect example of that. Everything is put around the human mind so he can understand that which he doesn't understand and will never(yes, I can play with this word) be able to. That will never change. Our vanity and greed for the ultimate is enormous. We believe God made us the center of everything and that we exist everywhere and anywhere. That's just a load of nothing. It doesn't mean anything. The purpose of that book is to give the human more appreciation about himself. Isn't that the purpose all along? I am learning all this stuff from God. What a stupid idea. It's not even original to begin with. As a said before, just an echo.

edit: I'm just trying to ruin your lunch.

Which parts specifically? From here it just looks like a load of intentionally obfuscatory nonsense disguised as a pseudo-philosophy. As I said to Magnetonium, specify an issue you wish to discuss - in your own words - and I'm quite happy to discuss it. I will not, however, trawl through endless paragraphs of neon-orange text for some supposedly profound observation that doesn't actually seem to exist.

So let me get this straight:

  • There is a God.
  • Part of God is me.
  • That part of me is distributed throughout mankind.
  • That part of mankind is "perfection".
  • The only people who cannot see this perfection are those who refuse to "open their eyes".

First prove that God exists, then prove that part of my being is inherently constituted by God in some way, then prove that there is a comonality in this constitution shared by all of mankind, then define "perfection", prove that it exists in - and is common to - all men, then show how this somehow completes the circular logic by proving that God exists.

Maybe my eyes aren't "open" enough, but none of this makes sense on any sort of level. Once again, I fear that you're just being intentioanlly obfuscatory to avoid direct and frank discussion.

Hey, I'm always up for a theological debate - ask anyone who's ever seen me post on these forums. What I will not do, however, is trawl through large passages of nonsensical text cut and pasted from some book, just to highlight the intellectual laziness of the original poster. Like I said, if there's any issues you want to discuss, raise them concisely and in your own words. I'm not going to debate Mr. Neale Donald Walsch via proxy, you understand?

Haha, well come on.... you're not giving us much choice here are you?
