black sun empire |
is that possible? |
Yes, actually. When a Star of at least 1.3 solar masses collapses under its own nuclear discordance, a supernova occurs. This is both a similtaneous implosion and explosion that fuses particles together so fast and hot, that it creates every element known to us that is higher than Iron on the Periodic Table. The result of this cataclysm is one of two things:
If the original star was between 1.3 solar masses and under 3.0 solar masses, a Neutron star is formed. It is a super-massive celestial body with very little volume (relatively speaking). The resultant mass is so high that an intense gravitational field is established; one that is so powerful, it bends light reflected onto the Neutron star from nearby luminous stars so that, considering visible light, the star is obscured and would appear black. For this reason, the Russians named this a 'black star' or a 'black sun'
When the original luminous star is over 3.0 solar masses, the resultant supernova creates a disturbance so incredibly hot that it melts into the space-time continuum and establishes a 'tear' in reality. This rip is known as a black hole.
