Most probably the proxy at your school is a HTTP-proxy, which means that in theory you can't connect to AG, kazaa etc. The reason why this is so has to do with IP-packets, portnumbers, lack of IP-adresses and some other advanced stuff.

However, if you are allowed to install programs at the computer your working with, you can install Socks2HTTP, configure it to use "yourproxy.yourschool.youcountry" port 3128 (usually - ask around/check internet settings in IE) and then configure AG to use a SOCKS4 proxy with the following address "localhost" at port 1080. Be advised that S2H (and similar tunneling software) isn't a complete solution and that connection speeds for AG will probably be around the 5-10k mark, but it *is* the only way.

If some step of this is hard to follow PM me and I'll try to elaborate further on it

I have a track I deem "rare enough" to share with you all: "Bismark - Just a Moment", but I'm not allowed to share it. About 90% (loose estimate) of the tracks I have in my share folder is not in my share folder (if you know what I mean). I seem to remember that this wasn't the case yesterday?

Is this a new kind of filter, or is it just me?
