Anything heavy will push warps out.. Im bout to try and use my big ass 21in crt weighing about 50 kilo to sort a warp out in an old vinyl I got recently (space brothers - shine). A month or so should sort out the mountain it has . Surprisingly it does actually play fine but its shocking to watch.
A method a mate of mine uses is a wet towel and an iron. The wet towel allows u to heat up the vinyl without burning it. I tried this but it didnt work my mate says it never fails him so i'll try it again since it never worked the time I tried it..
Whatever you do dont bend your vinyl especially brand new vinyl. Tried that once and it snapped. I hardly bent it at all but it snapped right on the inside ring (you know when a vinyl gets to the end theres a groove for the needle to sit in to prevent it running onto the label.)... gutted.
Whoever said about freezing vinyl.. I wouldnt try that. Id imagine low temps would make it more brittle?
