but yes whites ==> guitars, blacks==>drums (why do you think so many TAs were high on Andain - Beautiful Things when it first came out .. all because of the guitar . )

i wouldn't say the pie is 90% white, 10% asian .. more like 75% white, 25% asian .. you go to california and virginia .. you will see a lot of asians into the edm more than rap .. 5 years ago, it was reverse, but now they're into the edm

but here's a suggestion .. instead of forcing them into trance, lead them to drum n bass (the closest to rap) .. then house, then trance .. it's either going to be one step and that's all, or the slow one-step-at-a-time process .. you can always introduce them to felix da housecat .. a lot of the "african americans" here are digging him right now ..

Interesting. Trance is nothing more than advanced Disco. Don't know how many blacks were into scene back in those days, but Rap wasn't invented then either.

you know, you are saying even stupider things every time you post....who are you to tell someone if they are a trance addict or not? the answer to your question: YES!!! and what is this about trance addicts not liking black people... how many trance addicts do you know that have said.."you know, i really don't like black people." In fact, I've known people who like trance to be some of the most open minded people i know. You seriously need to recheck your facts.

i should think that electric rock of the early 80s had as much to do with it. Disco is more of a house thing and there's alot of black house DJs - Carl Cox, Felix da Housecat, Jeff Mills, etc.

It might have to do with social issues i guess... its more inclined for darker races to listen to more urban jams and whiter people to listen to rock, but it really comes down to what your personal tastes lie in... if you have lived in an RnB life all the time then i guess thats what you're into...

Also comes down to how flexible' peoples own habits to listenin to other genres really are.

Im latin and i listen to mostly trance, but i also listen to latin music alot. It depends on the person. I wouldn't really say its gender or race related.

You're correct in one way, that trance attracts mostly white people, whereas other genres in electronic dance music attract blacks.

good point

come on! did we not all see the chappelle show episode. White people - guitar, black people - drums, latin americans - drums, synthetic keyboard and some senseless hispanic garbage over the megaphone

lol good show

True with Trance - electronic beats and probably in the later 80s, but no Rap going on then either. I can see where Trance got some roots, but the Rap sprung from some nonsinging fools from somewhere.
