if you read my post i said : maybe not for lead or bass...

You said that u didnt think albino was much use for leads and bass. I have used albino extensively and have recieved a fair bit of praise for the things ive created with it, so i said that and you replied "so?"

all i was doing was pointing out the facts and you were the one to reply in a rather rude manner, which only provoked me.

My answer wasn't mean to provok you at all

anyway back to the post, could you post some sample of something fat you did with albino 2 ? i'm really eager to learn, for me albino is a good synth, especially the arp! Now if you think of bass and lead, i think there's better synth at the moment "TRANCE WISE"

when i said that albino is not good for bass or leads, that meaned FOR ME, for my tastes.

Question: What VST SoftSynths do you use?

My Answer: None because they all sound like crap.

The common sound of "VST Trance" these days sickens me. It is so very obvious when a track is done with all software. If I did just about any other genre, the idea of using all software would appeal much more.

But I can't think of another genre that is more synth heavy than trance. The leads, pads, basses, and percussion are all synthesized. The hardest of the 4 to do on software are leads. Not only will they sound bad, but will eat a chunk out of your CPU.

The software studio is still in its teen stages of development. With the advent of dual-core CPUs, I think we can expect the quality of the FX and Instruments to more than double by 2008. But until then, hardware will rain supreme in terms of quality, usability, and CPU efficiency.

Why do you think it costs so much more than software?

What you're referring to there is actually that the producers coming through now are producing generally unoriginal material and not in fact that all soft synths are shite.

because hardware costs more to build.

anyway no point in having ANOTHER soft vs hard debate
its all at the end of the day down to personal preference.

you cant say hardware is better just because you think its better.
just like i cant say software is better because i think so.
all personal preference, people should just stick with what they like best.
