What I am arguing is your contention that Ferry's electro-tinged direction is somehow useless and creatively bankrupt. I've pointed out productions in this style that are different and unprecedented (save for Tomcraft), incorporating both electro and anthem trance elements, which I think is a fair counterargument.

What anthem trance elements? A breakdown? Breakdowns don't make trance. Neither Punk nor Rock Your Body have breakdowns longer than 45 seconds really, so they're not to excess as in some(or a lot of) anthem trance. A huge anthem hook? That makes anthem trance, but not everything with a large anthem is anthem trance. Lots of other music has breakdowns and catchy melodic hooks. Like synth-pop (or Hi NRG), Punk(the music), and electroclash which is based on those two. Where's the supersaw in ferry's electro-anthem trance? And then we have arpeggiation which all trance must have or else it isn't trance. That's why I said I was not sure about Punk--because of those little bits of arpeggiated chords throughout the track (I lean towards electroclash because it has more electroclash elements than trance elements). Not so with Rock Your Body however. At least I don't think I heard any arpeggiation in RYB...(Does any of that babble make any sense to you? None at all to me. Heh.)
Yet at this point I still don't believe Ferry Corsten melds trance and electro. I believe he makes electroclash. So it's not a new idea. It's been done before. Therefore it is basically creatively bankrupt. If he had made Punk in 1999 I might have called it creative. I don't like Ferry, but that's not why I don't think he's creative. I have perfectly valid reasons why I don't think he's creative. He does things that have been done already and executed with more quality. In my eyes someone is creative only when they do something for the first time or do something that has been done before, but with higher quality than those who came first.
---Off Argument---
Accordingly a lot of his listeners will tend to think it's something new and inventive because they've never heard of Larry Tee or Adult. or Fischerspooner(or Cybotron or Ryuichi Sakamoto or Man Parrish or Robotnick). It's Ferry Corsten and he's not doing the same thing that AVB or Tiesto or J00F or Markus Schulz or Sasha are doing, so it must be a new creative genius. At this point i'm repeating myself.
