LEts get a couple of things straight first.
Egypt has no intention of buying nuclear weapons, or parts to start a nuclear program. The government is too closely tied with the US administration and has been so for years..it recieves the second biggest aid after isreal.
Saudi Arabia as a government would not require such illict way of getting nuclear weapons, if it wanted to start a nuclear program then it would simply go about it in normal ways, probably with US funding and support. Since they don't want to actually involve themselves in such matter and debate they simply choose not to go down that path. Oil, Gas and coal generators are alot more cheaper for them.
Syria is another situation altogether. There has always been alot of controversy and speculation about whether or not they have nuclear weapons.
THe fact of the matter remains that if Syria's government had nuclear weapons, or even a nuclear weapon program buried somewhere they would not puclicly declare it as IRan did not too long ago. But should they have nuclear weapons, they would have had it for a long time now, most certainly after the fall of the Soviet union but not long after. If Syria had nuclear weapons then they would have had it for the past 5-10 years.
Now for the debate,
I think it is riduculious to say that a specific country doesn't have the right to nuclear weapons. It would be nice and flowery if we could ban them all but lets face it that's not going to happen.
If you believe a third world country's possesion of nuclear weapons somehow make it more dangerous for humankind that is a bunch of bullshit. On the other hand if you are worried about the loss or theft of nuclear weapons in poorer conditions do note that third world countries by all means would have better security and survilance over such sites. If you're wondering why, then you would have to understand how their secret service and inteligence agencies work and how its different.
If Syria did have nuclear weapons, it wouldn't fall in the hands of terrorists, because one, its not in the government's interests, and two, it wouldn't sell it so easliy as it would have taken years to obtain.
And of course the weapon of choice in the middle east is biotoxins, and chemicals.

"Egypt" has no nukes. When u are adressing Egypt as the government/military, then no, "Egypt" does not own any WMDs. Terrorist organizations and muslim extreemist groups that are NOT controled by the government nor do they represent "Egypt" officially may or may not have those nukes.
Out of all people Jay, i thought u were politically correct. Otherwise, please shut the FUCK up... and thank you. |
Im NOT politically correct. And from what i was watching last night. Egypt the country (political) is likely to now have nukes.
Sorry if that fact offends certain egyptians out there but the possiblilty that any country may have them is bad news.
