making reservations is risky too since some ppl will always end up bailing, and others come unannounced .. and then let's not forget the latecomers, etc..
the last time we did this at Frankie Tomato's for the Dumonde @ Viva Pre-Meet circa Sept. 2003 .. settling the bill at the end was almost a complete nightmare..
anyhow .. no worries on John A's... we shall 'guarantee' seating

Sounds like a good plan, why not try to make it as central as possible, i.e. downtown?
This is under the presumption most ppl work downtown or perhaps live somewhere in the core. I for one, do not work in downtown but am a 20 minute subway ride from where I live (once I get home that is.)
Let's keep the ideas flowing...

Downtown would be decent, should be central for most people. As for where to eat? I dunno the area to well for eateries...

The Real Jerk (709 Queen Street East) is right across from Dangerous Dan's... Award-winning food and lots of seating. I've never been disappointed in the many times I've enjoyed this place.

It would be so nice just to sit down, eat, drink and talk to each other in person.
IMO, let's make it a weekday ... since we are not making resveration, the seating shit will have such a higher chance on a weekday. Weekend, you can kiss the idea goodbye ... now way we'll make reservations after the dumonde dinner in 2003.
