There is nothing innovative offered either, same with that shuffle. Flash memory has been around for awhile, and you could pick yourself a cheaper key for the same amount of memory.
|
Sure you can get cheaper keys, but they don't play MP3s.... a quick browse through Future Shop's website shows that for that size flash player, the Apple offerings are basically the cheapest you can get, no screen aside.

yeah you're absolutely right, because the mass market doesn't need more than: 256MB ram, 32MB video card, and 40GB for $630

Whatever dude, somethings have become the standards in technology, whether people expect it or not. This is taking it all away and basically offering you the minimum. Please.. |
both vertigo and you have valid point, just a matter of priorty i feel, each and every individual has diffrent needs. So one person may feel the mini will suffice them the other may not, because is a high end graphic designer.

Full Story.
Apple also unveiled a cheap flash based version of iPod(1GB capacity) for $149 USD
All I can say is BRAVO ! |
WOW ...the size ... WOW ...

So 189.99 + tax for a 1 Gig Shuffle that allows you to randomly choose songs (ooh what an innovation) , that has no lcd, has a 12 hour battery life, no EQ (although all iPods are crap for sound quality), and disgusting iTunes.
I'd rather get a Creative MuVo Micro N200 1GB w/ FM Tuner for 239 + tax. It has voice recording, it has an lcd, it has an FM radio, it's about the same weight but it's shorter by almost an inch. The signal to noise ratio is 90 db. Apple doesn't disclose this information. There is an EQ. Also, you don't need to use iTunes, nor any other proprietary software.

We're not all audiophiles.
Also who the hell uses iTunes anyway? EphPod is where it's at.
