Julia, Mauro is booked through BLUE, which has a working relationship with both System and Guv. You won't see Mauro at Boa - besides, he has been here maaaaany times, Boa tries to push the envelope a bit more and try new things, not just crowd favorites.

IMHO, Boa is GREAT just the way it is. Congrats to Rony and Carey for operating one of the best clubs
Keep up the good work

If YOU don't think these factors would make Boa even better than it already is, then more power to ya!
having a working AC is valid point, insulting another genre of electronic dance music b/c you don't like it is NOT valid.

Miss Julia is just expressing her opinion, which is what this thread is about, so ease up on her guys. Many people have requested their favorite DJ's...so she shouldn't be the only one getting slammed.
having said that...
The crap Picotto spins is pure garbage so yea...please don't bring him back to TO
LOL -- flame away, i'll say it again having seen him twice in the past 2-3 years. Each time he made my ears bleed.
so bad, i'd listen to a 6 hour of Dumonde and Cosmic Gate over what Picotto spins !
Toronto Tech House is where it's at...who needs Picotto when we got Kenny ?
Ps. Ltns Tara...where ya been hiding ?

Oh dear God, I nearly had a heart attack there. My virgin ears!
There's no need for such profanity!

Oh you can bash him alright... last time I saw him (Guvernment) not only did not pump me up, but killed the buzz that I had... and let's just say it wasn't a good night to have my buzz killed. The night would have been a total loss if they hadn't kicked him off and put Liebing/Gaetano back on. It's like he wasn't even trying.
Nevertheless, I think you were a little hard on the guy! I mean, that's harsh... 6 hours of Cosmic Gate?

^^^haha dork!! It's all good if u don't like Mauro. I agree with what Jeff said in an earlier post about Boa not being the best place to book Mauro. I thought I'd just throw that suggestion in for laughs.
I thought it was pretty hilarious how "charmscars" came in here just to make rude comments about my posts again.

I know...Cosmic Gate.
It's a tough choice though -- boring, uninspiring techno vs equally pedestrian, ultra chessy, outdated (un)epic trance.
I can't wait till the trance boys get wind of this post. I know imma get some hate for those comments ---

You keep loving him girl -- don't matter what i think anyways. If he rolls into town i'm sure he'd pack the place, so what i think of his sets is completely irrelevant.
Regarding Jeffs comment...well, i dunno, if Boa could get Picotto, i'm sure they would find a way for him to fit in. I mean, if they want to get Carl Cox to spin there -- hows he that different from Picotto ? Boa's system can handle it - but like you heard Skipper lay it out, he probably won't be there anytime soon.

Now now, we *heart* charmscars, there's no need to get personal here.
Besides, what's the "deal" with putting her "name" in "quotation marks"?

LOL, you're the first person I've heard use the word "pedestrian" in quite some time... good choice!
I wouldn't even call Picotto techno anymore - the last few sets I've heard from him fall more into the category that Ishkur so aptly dubbed "hard minimal shit".
Let's hear Ken Ishii on Boa's soundsystem... THAT would be sweet. Do it on a friggin' Wednesday night if you can't afford a Friday, I don't care...
