I'm sure it's very tastey. lol I just HIGHLY doubt it's authenticity.

it does if its now part of their culture just as what we call "canadian food" or "american food" (same thing) is really taken from german origins (hamburger) and belgian/french (french fries) yet we claim them to be authentic north american.
You get chips in your gyro in Greece almost everywhere now and these places are serving greeks which therefore makes it authentic modern day greek food.

That's where we differ. I look at authentic as being something has a specific origin somewhere and is done only in that style. (As it was originally done when that product or dish was created). IE how you mentioned the hamburger. You look as authentic as being that culture's take on a traditional dish or food either from that same country or another one. (ie the US's take on their "authentic" verions of a hamburg steak or hamburger). I tend to look at authentic as being the definition that I mentioned. Bah, no more debating...

P.S. YES the women there are hot...
It's ethnically and culturally Greek, and should be part of the Hellenic Republic. The only reason why it didn't join in the 70's was because of the Turkish/Muslim invasion. The West could have prevented it, or reversed it, but they didn't want to upset Turkey, who was a key cold war ally.
Way better than Italian IMO.

I find a tasty salat, sans lettuce (nod to RJ), goes so much better with falafel than greasy chips...

Ah yeah. I remmeber. It IS ethnically and culturally Greek (I'm not suggesting otherwise) I'm just saying it is STILL independent politically b/c of the reasons you mentioned.
As for the pics...STOP TORTURING ME.
