Have to say I agree with this despite what I wrote to them. If I let it be and thought about it for longer, I would have came up with something to say without letting my anger do the talking (not that I said much anyway but yeah).

Thats usually the way I handle stuff in everyday life when getting in disagreements over things. Best way to go at it is to be calm, respectful as much as possible, get your point across, and no swearing.

Its just hard sometimes when you go at it right away, and dont stop to think. Also why I made massive mistakes in what I wrote to them anyway lol

Graham, i think you have to remember that this is just a forum. You cant take a verbal bashing seriously, or it may lead to suicide depending on what boards you frequent (*cough TRIBE cough*). I personally think when threads develop into name calling and immature behaviour its quite entertaining. I hate seeing all the politcal threads in here like most people, so if a fight breaks out - at least its worth reading.

Incidentally Jeff, I don't believe I resorted to name-calling anywhere (no offense taken by your post btw, I'm just pointing out my thoughts). If I did that on any consistent basis, it WOULD make me an asshole. Sardonic humour and incisive criticism, however, are far from name-calling.

Sometimes we just need to step back and look at ourselves for a minute to realise that this is ONLY THE INTERNET. I know it's a hard thing to do, but its a must. I don't think that was ever the issue (now I hear echoes of Jon with his "no hard feelings", haha). Things have a way of looking more hostile on the 'net than they really are if that's the way you're feeling.
