for quit areas, i would route for greek town - EXcept for when the taste of the danforth occurs! (but still good eats~!)

Oh yeah - I love where i live righ tnow - at Dundas and university - b/c it's a 5 dollar cab ride from anywhere in the club district and I love to go down that way to BOOGIE~!

This is NOT what the councillor was saying. What the councillor was saying is that white people feel alienated and feel the need to move out. He is not saying that Chinese Canadians arent Canadian per se.

Why is it that when minorities feel alienated its a big deal but when white people feel alienated they are supposed to suck it up and deal with it?

I think if any particular type of people feel the need to vacate an area for whatever reason it is a problem. Perhaps the asian community could do more to reach out to the community as a whole. There are many misconceptions about white Canadians in the asian community and vice versa.

The chinese culture is amazing except when it comes to isolation. I dont know why but asians seem to WANT to isolate themselves and its sad because some of the nicest people ive ever met are newly arrived asian immigrants.

my father knows and works with the councillor personally, he's a better speaker than that.. and he regrets having his comments misinterpreted

They dont misinterpret. They use it for their own gain. They want to paint this guy as a racist perhaps for their own political benefit? Thats just speculation but the race card gets played all the time when it comes to things like this which is why everyone is so afraid to talk frankly about race relations.

Riverdale is NOT located anywhere near sherbourne and dundas, it runs between pape and broadview, Danforth and Gerrard St. AKA Greektown!!!
