By that same analogy, all these EDM producers you enjoy are inferior artists, since it's a lot more difficult to learn an acoustic instrument than it is to grab a copy of Fruityloops or Reason.
Not to mention that your analogy is completely bogus anyways, since anything is as only difficult as you make it.
Seriously, what ever happened to just doing what was fun, and what you enjoyed doing? Seriously, idiots like arek are the reason that the skateboarding scene is inflated with dumbass kids who just roll around and try to half ass an ollie for 3 years without actually doing anything or putting any effort into it, spending half their time just sitting around by the skatepark talking. They think that what they're doing is so exclusively unique and challenging, they just buy a deck and a few articles of clothing with a logo on it, sit back, and enjoy social acceptance. It's nothing more than an image to them. No hate on the real borders who don't buy into the bullshit (because they're some crazy ******s).
So yeah, it might be easier to take up rolling than it is to take up boarding... so what? Like I said, whatever you do is as difficult as you make it. I haven't seen any skateboarders do 720s into a grind, or grind a 650 foot rail end to end, or launch out of a concrete drainage canal over some 8 foot wall.
Those of us with a shred of maturity will continue to do what we enjoy, not because it's more difficult or righteous than something else, but because it's what we genuinely enjoy. And we won't hate on others for doing their own thing, either. |
omg.. so well put. oh and
