Ferry is the most talented trance producer ever. He's a walking legend. Ferry is a very open-minded person.

i don't like ferry's electro-trance like "punk" or "rock your body rock", but that "sweet sorrow" track is FANTASTIC! EXITING!
ferry is my all-time favourite dj/producer. he is the king of melodic trance, but times changed and he got bored a bit from making the usual trance sound. he tried something new. that is the real anser from a real-life chat i had with the man before one of his gigs in israel.

I'm guessing this is mainly aimed at me, I ain't just defending trance, I'm defending all music, because of the people who complain because a music style has changed, becuase if it didn't we wouldn't have many genres of music that are around today, I see your a Dave Clarke fan, guys got skills, probably wouldn't be around if music styles didn't change.

I see why after some of the threads I've looked in why I don't come into the Music Discussion forum.

Hey, fuck it, I'm all for genres evolving. Now it's just at a complete standstill though (trance, I mean). Can't say it's thanks to Ferry, but anyway.

I'm not really a big Dave Clarke fan. He's included in my favorite artists in my profile, yes, but I mostly admire him for his jackass-ness.

Nothing fucks me off more than a fan that thinks a DJ can do no wrong. There is a lot of good music out there. How some people can be so easily pleased is beyond my comprehension.

I agree on Trance standing still right now, I have hope for it moving forwards in the future.

I dunno, but how much have we declared trance dead and buried right now?
This time it's Ferry Corsten? Shit written by Ishkur isn't something to be taken seriously, only problem with the guy is...he takes himself so damn serious.

fact. anthem trance takes small elements of real trance and incorporates them as little as possible while adding useless pop overtones, like monstrous wash effects, chorus melodies, and long anti-climactic breakdowns.

It's bombastic melodrama; a pompous, over-the-top, monstrously grotesque caricature of what trance used to be.

fact. listen to Sven Vath - Ritual Of Life (Spicelab Remix) then listen to System F - Out Of The Blue. it's pretty goddamn obvious.

Trance is dead.

fact. well, if we're talking about real trance anyway.
