well i have no idea whatsoever what he meant and that's why i'm asking. seems more like pointless bashing to me (because tiësto isn't cool) tbh.

he did produce it. he didn't compose it. what should it be called then in your opinion?

oh my! here we go again. if you make a cover of a track you release it under your own name. look at all the rock/pop covers for example.
you don't see
joan jett - i love rock 'n roll (britney spears remix)
now do you?
and he did not remix william orbit's version either and he didn't remix samuel barber's original, he did produce the track, but what he didn't do is compose it.
even if he had wanted to release it as
william orbit - barber's adagio for strings (tiësto remix)
or
samuel barber - adagio for strings (tiësto remix)
he couldn't do it without the permission of the artists.
and OMG above & beyond ripped off tomaso giovanni albinoni when they named their track
rollerball - albinoni
or the london symphony orchestra ripped off vivaldi for example for releasing some tracks he composed on a cd.
plese, get your facts together before you start that pointless bashing.

im more intelligent and mature than to "bash" artists and DJs without due reason or cause. Im merely expressing my dissapointment that there are remixes of a remix without even a hint of the original author.

If i'm not wrong Tiesto actually used William Orbits song as the basic for his adagio for strings. Read it somewhere.
