Lots of it (if you own the record) has to do with the sleeve/color of vinyl/label on the vinyl. Seriously.

Soundwise, I always think of saw waves as orange, no idea why. And although no specific colors are used to differentiate between pads, it is an offical term to say "that pad's color is nice." The harmonics, etc.

With Adam white - Ballerina i get a greyish colour due to the ballerina on the label.

and probspot - blueberry because of it being on the coldharbour selections i get a blackish blueish colour.
