Yes, I've had my ticket book for about 3 years now, since they originally went on sale. I've been through about half of it (about 50 tickets).

Wow, turning a $400 lemon into THAT is a pretty good job!!! Impressive! Anyway, here go mine: (and thanks for the advice, Skuce!)

Smokey Cannon...

Sparco Pedals...

Money shot...the flag, by the way, is for my web group of Ferrari F1 fans (actually it's the official manufacturer's fan site: www.ferrariworld.com) pretty good perks, like the flag! And the driver's a friend, not me!

Action shot...

And full-frontal!

How do you get the images to actually show up in the post? Man, I'm such a rookie with this!!! I don't have pictures of the engine; only videos. I made a massive video with music and all: 550 MB...will have to show y'all some day.

G'night,
Fahad

Yahoo is terrible for hotlinking pics...they don't like it when you do that. Plus I think you have those linked to your personal folder...not the one that everyone can see.

Try a couple on Image Shack....I know they have zero probs with you hotlinking from them

On the FI vs. NA issue, you don't have the wear-and-tear on your engine by going NA AT FIRST, rather than jumping straight to FI. My goal was always to get to Turbo eventually, after the cam gears, ECM, etc. But I wanted to make the car at its peak possible potential before I threw the SMACK down.

I think the two complement each other rather than one vs. the other. And for that reason, you have to change the smaller parts FIRST, logically.

While the two CAN complement each other, it's not a given. For example if you're going to slap a turbo onto your car, but you've enlarged the exhaust pipes all the way through, you might not develop enough back pressure to get decent response from the turbo. Also, things that change the timing and compression of the engine can adversely affect turbo performance. Most imports run notoriously high compression ratios, ie Hondas, which is not necessarily conducive to cramming larger amounts of air through. If you've been tweaking your car of NA performance, many of the mods may actually be counter productive to FI performance. In theory, for the best NA performance, you want the highest compression you can reasonably maintain within your engine, and run a somewhat lean fuel mixture to optimize the power and combustion. Those statements aren't necessarily what a FI tuned car should be optimized to run under.

I think while your theory is sound, in practice, it's always better to have both long term and short term plans for any project and understand that all components will eventually have to work together. If the general idea is to one day have a turbo in your car, the parts and build leading up to that should be complementary to that goal, otherwise you may have to backtrack and replace several if not many components you've already put in.

Agreed 100% I know nothing about cars except for what the techies at Formula Honda feed me. And we had a plan for my car so I was trusting that they knew what they were doing, with the long term in mind (especially after fitting the owner's S2000 with a Comptech blower). I guess we can never find out...except on my current PRELUDE!!!! I will be continuing that story in the next few YEARS...

it's going to have another nice little item under the hood this year...tired of being slow-ish

meh...it's all good

I really don't like off-center plates...but otherwise I think it's well done. *thumbsup*

that project would be soooooo not my style...but I love the super-clean look...shaving the handles looks terrible on some cars, but fits in well here...I wouldn't call that riced up at all...I think Vertigo is just being a bitch

Aren't those Escort GT wheels (minus the colour)? How can that be called rice...no dumb tint, no over-the-top bodykit, no lame APC tails, 18" bling wheels, etc...and he didn't cheap out on the drop with just springs...I like it.

I hope that "nice little item under the hood..." means FI though...assuming some decent rubber...then it would truly be badass

considered a 16" wheel with fat 225 tires? (if 225 could fit under there , that is)

May I introduce you to my 100% stock 1997 Prelude, gentlemen...

Uh, you want as little backpressure as possible with a turbocharged car. You want that exhaust OUT, and if theres a lot of backpressure you're going to get reversion, which causes the engines' internals to heat up far more than they would normally... This can lead to detonation, which can potentially destroy your engine

PS: MarkT: You're kidding about the Escort not being riced up... Right?
