Fuck, I just downloaded a 70mb file called "Hemi-Sync - Hypnosis - Pink Noise & Binaural Beats -Theta - Superlearning.mp3". What a fucking waste of bandwidth, seeing as it's the same noise looped for 70 minutes. I'll try and find the loop points and upload a loopable sample to save anyone the bother.
Anyway this is what I hear: pinknoise over some tone. By muting the left and right channels respectivly, I find the left channels tone to be slighty lower then the tone in the right channel. Now, after 1 or 2 minutes of CONCENTRATED listening, there appears to be a tone that pulses at around 3hz(3cycles per second = 180 times per minute). Maybe it pulses a bit quicker, but that's just a rough guess. If I mute the right channel, I can't hear the pulsing anymore(Same goes if I mute the left channel).
Booster: In this case, we're not talking about the frequencies that sound occur here (we can't hear anything below 20hz anyway), but rather the amount of times a sound occurs per second. Ie. 0.5hz refers to a sound occuring 0.5 times per second. We're not "simulating" or creating a sound that has it's fundamental frequency at 0.5hz/1hz/12hz etc, but modulating/panning/phasing a sound(Say at 400hz) at a rate of 3hz (3 cycles per second or 180 times per minute).

If you are too lazy playing with sinus generators, you could use BrainWave Generator
Supports multilayering of binaural frequencies.

Yep, just did it in Cooledit Pro.
Step 1: Create a tone(I used the CEP tone generator)with a fundemental frequency of 410hz
Step 2: Repeat but create a tone of 415hz.
Step 3: Pan 1 full left, and the other full right.
Step 4: Once played together, you can hear a distinctive "pulsing" sound that oscillates at a rate of 5hz.
Personal notes: Your speakers have to be placed quiet far apart. You have to be PERFECTLY center. If you move to the left, you can't hear the pulsing sound.

There is another interesting way using phase cancellation in CED.
File->New, select 44100, stereo, 16bit so stereo wave is created, then
in tone generator dialog box set Phasing to:
Start phase: 0
Phase difference: 180
Change Rate: 7Hz (or any desired brain freq)
P.S. Use any (cheap) stereo headphones capable of producing fundamental frequency (like 410Hz) instead of speakers.
