how the hell do they expect to fit that many djs in during a weekend!?
there is no way you could see everybody wanted to see |
It is being held as a 2 day event for the first time this year. Traditionally, it has always been a 1 day event. And yes, it's extremely difficult to see everyone in such a short period of time. Most sets are only about 1.5 - 2 hrs at the longest. But the thing is with many of these big festival type of events, it's not really just about the DJ. I mean when I think back of my time there, the DJ only made about 1/3 of the experience, it's everything else around you that makes the party, ie. the people, the stages, the decor, there's just so much more to it than catching the acts. Hell they even built an entire amusement park on the airfield.. !

Did they just book everyone in the top100 off the djlist?
What a weekend for those who are going... envy is just not strong enough a word for what Im feeling. |
That lineup is about 90% of the same lineup they had last year. Traditionally they book pretty much everyone at this event. But GKGG is not only the only festival to do so of course, other examples are of course: WMC (Ultra Festival), Dance Valley, Nature One, Creamfields, Gatecrasher Summer Sound System, Mysteryland, etc. just to name a few which all take place over the summer as well with the exception of WMC.

Now I'm not so good with Britain's geography...so can someone tell me where Stratford-upon-Avon is?
How far away from London is it? |
It's about a 2-3 hr train ride north of London. Yes Birmingham is the nearest city, but tons of ppl just hop on the train from London which is what we did when I went. The shuttle bus from the train station to the actual airfield was brutal though. But what was even more brutal was coming home ..
btw. if you're gonna buy tix for this event online.. MAKE SURE YOU PICK THEM UP AT A TICKET OUTLET BEFORE YOU GO !!!
