the problem was that you dl 7 gigs in 32hours. if you ring then and just tell them that wa a once off and you needed to do it, they wont mind.

I downloaded 40+GB from sunday-tuesday, and uploaded 15ish GB. Wednesday My internet was slower than dial-up I think comcast may have done something.... bastards

most uk isp's are imposing limits on new customers and bringing them into older ones (Like me) they've had to give us 6 months notice so from May 2005 i can only use 30gb a month, inc up/down etc. The email they sent was funniest tho
"We know you'll never use anything like 30gb a month"
coming days after i did about 25 in 4 days they don't have a clue

ISP's do have the right to cut you off, block ports, throttle bandwidth, cap you, etc. Read the agreement, as they can 'legally' do it.

I just told them I got a virus.
Then I found out how to moniter my bandwidth and I realized 20 was the soft cap, and I had already used up 18 gigs. So I have 2 gigs left for the month...
