Well i'm GUESSING that a DJ that built his name up from playing under the sun in Ibiza (king of space???) would know a thing or two about working an environment like that. I guess well find out if he has what it takes in a few weeks
ps. I wouldnt expect a chilled out set. Will he spin as chunky and driving as he would if he were playing peak time in the main room? Probably not. BUT I still expect him to hammer out some pumping summertime house music. Lots of vocals, very housey and FUNKY + DIRTY AS FUCK! Should be a killer night errrrrrrr morning!

my thoughts exactly...i cannot wait

See I never really heard Lawler do a set along those lines so thats why I'm wondering. His CD's didn't exactly have the "sun in your face" atmosphere. I'm not saying that it'll suck because he'll play his usual shit...just curious how he's gonna sound. Because what he played at, say System, would definately not fit the sunny vibe. I'm hoping it's something akin to GU027 CD1 though, but with that Lawler dirtyness to it.

First Sasha, and then Lawler...teehee!!

A lot of the tunes that I heard him play in March '05 would fit a roof top patio just fine.

You know the score man I do expect Steve to play a loungy funky soulful house set, I mean it would fit the Skybar atmosphere. This is getting really exciting coz I'd always wanted someone to play @ Skybar during the beautiful morning hours, with the sun shining down on you. Sooo tempted now!!!

Re: 2005.06.18. SASHA, PABALO MOJO, STEVE LAWLER & MARK OLIVER @ Guv / Skybar

Can we enter The Guvernment for Sasha, and then hit the Skybar for Lawler from the Guv via the Drink?

and 4am-10am? I hope Sasha plays from 12am to 4am then

Oh, and I'm guessing since we have to enter through The Drink, there will be a dresscode in effect. That's pretty lame. The party goes 'till fucking 10am. Someone isn't thinking.

I have dressy stuff, but I don't want to have chaffed nipples and blistered feat by the end of the night.

if u go thru the main room of guv u will have access to the drink/skybar after 2/3am (at the latest). if u go thru the drink entrance u will have access to the main room all night.

ps. the dress code for the drink is more of a style code (so its pretty relaxed) ...
