They forgot to mention the most important thing. If you are speeding (even 1 mph over the speed limit) you can and will be arrested if you refuse to let them search your car. Speeding is an arrestible offense, but is just usually avoided by writing a ticket.

If they want to search your car and you have something illegal in it and you say no, then they will arrest you, tow the car, and then search it. All cars towed by order of the police are searched upon arrival to the towing lot.

Consider this, 92% of the worlds population feel that their lives could be better, what about you? If you could do anything, anything at all... what would you do? What are you doing now? Imagine that you could live your life knowing it could not be better and never feeling that you would rather be doing something else, be somewhere else, or be someone else. Now consider this, some people actually live that way and so could you. Contemplate this, what if 90% of the problems you encountered in your life were mere illusion and only existed in your mind? In your everyday life whenever something annoys you, stresses you, makes you mad or makes you sad, consider if that something really matters. Will you even remember how you felt in 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, or what about in 10 years? So when the people you work for pressure you and fail to understand you does it really matter? And when they call you on the phone screaming and yelling does it matter? And should you really allow that to influence your life? It's all about choices.

What country do you live in?

In my country, we have this thing in our constitution called the Bill of Rights. The 4th amendment protects the citizen against unlawful search and seizure.

Searches cannot be conducted without a warrant, unless reasonable suspicion exists, i.e. the scent of weed smoke, coke on the tip of your nostril, etc.

Idiots think they're going to get off easy because they comply when the cops ask them if they can search their car, then the cops find shit and they get fucked.

If you have shit, suck it up and say no if they ask you to allow them to search, though you'll get fucked on the speeding ticket. If they search you anyways, and find 2 keys, it will get thrown out in court. Believe this.

So two summers ago, i was driving around with some friends kind of being a jerk and just honking at random people....well, i ended up honking at an unmarked squad car and got pulled over.

when the cop came up to my window she said, "do you know why i pulled you over?"

me: "for that little honk back there?" then she continued to yell at me about illegal use of the horn, blah blah blah. i tried to tell her i thought her car was my friend's. i got out of it, somehow, but apparently i could have gotten a ticket for "illegal use of the horn" [which is around $90 in illinois, apparently].

-----
another time [on the same road i was on before, ironically enough], i got pulled over for going around a road closed sign, and i told the cops i was "soooo lost" and "didn't know where i was". when asked, "how long have you lived in this neighborhood?" i replied, "all my life, but i've never been back here before!"

the cop then proceded to search my parents car [which i had borrowed for the evening] looking for drugs or whatever. funny thing is my foreign exchange partner was with me and he had a grocery bag full of warheads and when the cop looked at it; he just told us to get the hell outta here. no ticket!

-----
3rd times a charm i suppose tho, because when i got pulled over for speeding, the cop told me he had me clocked at 75. which was correct, but after i had saw the cop i slowed down and set cruise control for 55. he obviously noticed my declination in speed, because when i said, "officer, my cruise control clearly said i was going 55!" he inquired why i had slowed down to begin with. damn. $180 ticket on that one.

oh well.

Did you read what I typed? If you are speeding and they want to search your car and you say no, then they will arrest you for speeding and search the car anyway after it is towed (searching towed cars is standard).

lmao...this made me laugh so hard. In grade 7 there was this korean exchange student, who always used to carry around a paper bag full of warheads at school. And he would constantly have 3 or so in his mouth...it was odd.

I'd like to shoot them... I hate cops with the better than you attitude, they have no right to stop me. Imagine having a shotgun in your lap... "Step out of the car eh? Boom!" and if you're on a lonely road nobody will ever catch you.

In real life I'd just get it over with quickly... but the killing idea still fascinates me.

OK, and now I'm asking what "warheads" are.

*if i stop* i will show them my wackenhut id (that works most of the times) if the cop wants to give me a ticket after that, i'll take it and i'll leave, but in a magic way, that ticket will be erased from cop's ticket-book the same/next day

So I am making the move from center of Canada to the West coast of Canada with all of my stuff packed very nicely in my tiny little Sunfire. My buddy and I thought we’d pick up a quarter of smoke to make the 24 hour ride somewhat enjoyable!! So to start the ride off we each smoked a bowl and off we went!! 30 minutes into the ride we see in the distance a bunch of cops cars doing a random check ( it was May Long Weekend) so being under the influence and a little paranoid we thought we’d chuck the weed out the car into the ditch but little did we know that there was a cop waking on the side of the road and saw us throw the stuff into the ditch.. Of course we get pulled over and grilled like I’ve never been grilled before.. First they thought we through beer out the window but the cop on the side of the road found the shit and well, hell begun!!
My buddy and I got separated, I got pulled into this Big Ass Police van/camper and my buddy got pulled into the cop car. They questioned why I through it out the window blah blah blah (remember this whole time I am still under the influence) so I told them this story of how this was weed left in the car from a party 2 weeks ago and it wasn’t mine and we noticed it was there when we left Winnipeg but we thought nothing of it and when we say you guys we freaked out and now I am here. The office then proceeded to offer me a burger as they had food in Camper but of course I said no (I did have a serious case of the munchies though) and went to question my friend. Amazingly the officer came back and said to me your stories match and if you give us $100 we’ll let you go.. Of course I jumped all over that and gave him cash and got the hell out of there.. The crazy thing was not paying the cop off but both my buddy and I told the same story with out even knowing.. Crazy shit..

Just thought I would share this story with all TA’s
