So they don't automatically go hand in hand. And even if they did, they're totally different skills and so shouldn't be lumped together like this, because it's pointlessly confusing.

To be successful I think its necessary. To take djing to the next level, you almost need to produce.

To be popular, yes. But popularity is not neccesary to be a good DJ, is it? And almost always, these threads aren't about DJing. They're about producing. So why write "DJ" when you aren't talking about DJing?

You've obviously didn't read all posts in this thread... Cause if you did you'd find out I meant 'Producers producing their own music or not'... not 'DJ's... '

I know perfectly well you did, so why the hell did you write "DJ" when you meant producer? If you read all the posts in this thread, you'll see other people misunderstood the thread because you're too lazy to distinguish.

There's nothing worse than an artist that bitches about someone taking credit for his work when he has done the same thing to other artists.

Producing & djing are totally Different Skills

I know a lot of good producers, that made beautiful tracks, and when they got into djing its just boring not so exciting.

Djing seems to be easy, just playing records, it doesnt matte rif its your production or not, jus play the right track at the right moment, and you are gonna be good DJ.

Not Everyone can earn this skill.

and of course there are also Great Dj's , that are bad producers, or they dont even know how to produce.
